Noise complaints

Hilarious! You now have set the bar higher.

1. So, you WILL have to learn to back flip!
2. You will have to invite him to bring a lawn chair down to the water, if he has time, to explain to the kids what you are doing and how the ski works, since you can't do that while on the water.
3. And to distribute or make sure that the kids don't hoard the soft drinks and water that you put in the ice bucket next to the picnic table and lawn chairs for the audience.
4. And you will have to offer to teach him how to jet ski.
5. And offer to help him buy a jet ski either sit down or stand up when he is ready to make sure that he doesn't over pay.

Hold your friends close. Hold your enemies closer. . .
Backflip not coming along that fast at moment!
Lacking consistency in height so having mental block getting more than halfway around lol.
The rest should work except getting him into skis lol. Hes at least 65 and not in shape (maybe a pear shape)

My wife once said you gotta kill them with kindness.. I said screw that I’m not that guy! But she is usually right about dealing with people.

Its amazing how much poop people will tolerate once they decide they kinda like you. Noise, borrowing tools, brat kids etc etc.

Whatever you do.. don’t get your ride area shut down! Its a bitch once that happens! 98% of the people think riding is cool and it doesn’t bother them. Then the other 2% are the people with time on their hands to rally others to shut you down. Its BS, but thats just the way it is.

Matter, it seems too attract More matter, at least with my 67 year old riding buddy. I’ll cross over to other side of the channel to pass the fisherman, look back and my buddies zipping back and forth right in front of the fisherman wtf. I actually don’t think he thinking or even realizes what he’s doing... but he keeps doing it... even after years of counsel..,

Few years back we riding superjets in a deep water channel with fisherman all along on a high concrete boardwalk that lines the water front. We’re hitting a large exercise ball with the nose of the ski, if you pop the nose on it the ball will fly into the air and be carried by the wind, you then chase it and hit it again..

We’re out in the middle of this channel far from anyone but my buddy keeps hitting the ball in the direction of the fisherman. Iam signaling not too but he’s doesn’t get it...,

Well finally he’s hit the ball all the way to the wall and below like 3 fisherman. Iam pissed And I’ve got to get the ball out of there.. so I signal the fisherman iam sorry and proceed to drive behind and under the lines trying to get the bell off the wall so I can hit to deeper water.. Iam literally getting the lines around my neck, I’ve got to pull the lines off my neck and over my helmet, drive the ski and tip the ball... takes me like 2 minutes to get it out of there, they could see I was having a hard time and I was only there cause I had to be, I signaled sorry and thank you and they were very respectful to me, a Few Mexican dudes..

Well what do you think my dumb azz buddies doing... he down the channel and got some black dude screaming at him, the guy was yelling go ski somewhere else, so my buddy starts zipping his area very close with his ski, now the guys cussing him out and throwing rocks at him and both are mf ing each other..

Iam like wtf... so I lead him to middle of channel and we stop and float.. now his Conscience steps in and he feels bad and wants to go apologize.. I say the hell you are, You pissed that guy the F off, your prolly going to get into a fist fight or worse, just stop doing it..and stay away from them.. now he worried he’ll be waiting for him at the boat ramp omg..

you are already lucky enough ........................ here with us both at the lake and at the sea you fight even before putting it in the water

it's fine when there are children in the beach who run to see the skis and take pictures of them, so the mothers are happy and the excuse is good

Our little lake is about the same, lots of bass boats that act like they own the lake along with boats pulling tubes but we do our best to stay away from them and the rangers are pretty reasonable. One thing that does piss me off is that 1/3 of the lake is blocked off by buoys that say "No Jetskis" so you would thing that would be a good area to fish and pull tubes but no, just a part of the lake we can't use and has been that way since the 90's. So for the last 30 years every time I come in the gate I ask them if I can pay 2/3 the cost of entry since I can only use 2/3 of the lake and all the senior rangers know me and laugh and the new guys just look confused. Every time I pass those two "No Jetski" buoys I want to keep on riding and wait to get pulled over just so I can explain that the buoy specifically says "No Jetskis" and that is a Kawasaki and I am on a Yamaha or Seadoo so it does not specifically exclude me from the area. Had the buoy said "No PWC" then I would have followed the instructions.

Advantages of living on a small private lake. You know all the people and most of us respect our neighbors. Only problem is when visitors show up and don’t feel like they have to be respectful.

Sure, however it still might reduce decibels a little more in addition to using a quieter exhaust
Intake noise is very loud with the hood off but not bad with it on. . Pump vibration amplified by the hull is loudest next to exhaust. Its a cultural issue, we CAN make skis quiet if we wanted to. I remember hearing nothing but the pump and water spray while riding a stock 750sx. It has an intake box. two mufflers and a flapper over the outlet. Square nose SJs were nearly as quiet.

My ski is LOUD. 9.9/10 people sometimes including myself will say its too loud. I always keep my distance (especially with fishermen even on a stock sj) and never try to stay in the same place around the lake for more than 5 minutes. Ive had people thinking I’m coming into the sand bar at 20 mph when the ski was just above idle start cussing me out (just a high school kid) saying that I’m gonna run their kids over when I’m 200 feet away *at the sand bar*. Skis so loud it hurts my ears sometimes when riding and I’m sure its happened to others too. Probably have had the cops called but they don't do poop at my lake. I always just like to end the fight early and say sorry, seems to work sometimes.
