I haven't ridden since the 550 came out. Deciding to get back into the fun. I will be riding mostly in the Long Island Sounds initially, and definitely more interested in freestyle than racing however, based on what I read I have a few questions and would love the opinions from the group.
I keep seeing the if you are freestyling it's superjet and racing is the sxr-800. So before I rush out and get a superjet, I wanted to make sure what I read was updated. I am trying to validate the following:
1) Sxr-800 much better in Chop (which the sound gets every afternoon)
2) sxr-800 50lbs heavier
3) SupertJet better bottom end
I have no issues getting some mods for the kawa to make the bottom end better, however I am looking for some recommendations or opinions.
1) I am buying a new 2010/2011
2) I have no issues modding a bit
3) Planned on adding footholds
4) I weigh about 220 lbs
Any help in deciding the best route based on the that data would be great.
