Need some ideas for camping spots in NorCal anywhere between Sacramento up to Redding.
1. stand up jet ski friendly
2. on the water, don't want to put them on trailer every night.
3. low elevation, below 3000 ft. or so
Example: Shasta lake, Dekkas Rock camping ground. That is the primo spot in Nor Cal. Last year 110 degrees in July with water temp at 85. And the skis run like raped apes, must be the trees. Unfortunately booked solid. Any good spots on Folsom, Oroville or Bullards Bar?

Please Help!!!
You can vote multiple times, but try to pick top three!

Theres camp far west in wheatland. Its not too bad. Theres always plenty of stand ups there. I think its like $17 for a day pass or $25 for an overnight.

Folsom is crazy in summer, I would look at camop far west, rollins lake, bullards bar lacks direct car access

how is the new Hull working for you ??

I live like 10 minutes from CFW, I have never been there. I've heard Folsom is indeed full of sheriff/police. Not sure about during the winter though.

My favorite places to camp

East Park Lake: Best part is that it is completely free to camp here. They have bathrooms and that's about it. You camp right next to the lake, a lot of spots available. NE of Clear Lake. I went there twice this last summer, plenty of skis in general on this lake. Gas is a decent drive away.

Berryessa: I went here a lot the last few years. Been to three different campgrounds here. This used to be the bay area lake to hangout at. I think it's slowly making a return. Big lake. Gas is a decent drive away.

I've never been to shasta yet. Lake oroville would probably be good. I've been there three times.

If you plan on ever going camping somewhere and wouldn't mind me joining you perhaps, post in the Norcal Standup thread.

Berryessa is a 27 mile long lake. Lots of spots to ride, kinda a bitch to get to. I am down to camp also ^^^ Tyrant1919 is a good guy to ride with.
Lets plan a shasta trip !!! oh yes and you need to ready for the Pismo Spring Freeride dates are March 8th-10th.

You need to hook up with NVJAY. he is in Nevada.
Miller park jan1st is a fun ride.

My family was planning on renting a houseboat on Shasta in September. Don't work out obviously. Had plans to load the bob on the boat somehow. Or just tow it.

Id be down for a Shasta trip.

As I thought....Shasta Lake is the best!!!!!!!!
I've heard Bullards Bar is like mini shasta but the lake is too far from the camp sites.
I will look at the camp far west, that came up a few times.
So no Folsom or Oroville, OK.
Thanks Nor Cal, good info. As of now I'm still waiting to see what week in summer I will get off of work. Then I think I will be looking at Ellery Creek at Shasta, we've done it a few years back and it's an incredible spot. Although it's individual camp sites and we preffer the group campgrounds for more freedom. Nice thing is they can only be reserved 6 months out, not like the group which are like a year out. When I find out the times, I will post in your guys group discussion, the more the marrier. And on the houseboating....well, unless you have lots of resposible paying adults that's pretty impossible. Maybe someday.

A shasta trip this summer would be awesome. Last year we had two houseboats together and like 4 tow boats. No skis though :(. I've only been into to skis for ike 6 months. Just one big paaaartaaaaay!

My home away from home.
I'd like to try Camp Far West some time.

I like Shasta, but it'd be cool to get a beach spot to camp from. Houseboat would be pretty sweet too, but hard with freestyle skis.

Any beach spots at Shasta to set up a trailer? I've been twice, but always on a houseboat, so no clue on camp spots.

Thinkin june july. Not much going on around that time. may be easier to get some guys to travel. A couple of us should rent out some houseboats.
sounds fun.
