Finally making some more progress. All the wiring is done, custom battery cables made, glued in tank pod, battery tray done, motor timed w total loss, just have to put everything in a pump some fuel into her.

Took a few steps backwards today, turns out the WB and chadgnarly were right telling me to lay some carbon over my ebox mounts. Found one of the inserts had split itself apart. It didnt seperate from the hull it split the top and bottom layers of the epoxy apart. Anyways spent most of the day on that. Replaced the broken insert ground the hull down to bare carbon and then added a 5"x16" layer on 19 oz carbon over both. Hopefully it will be solid now. Also managed to get my rails turfed. Finally got her on the water!! Got everything finished up on saturday and then ended up fighting a timing issue and then a cooked starter due to the timing. Fixed the timing Saturday and swapped in a spare starter sunday. Fired up instantly and sounded awesome. got it out to the lake and rode for a solid 3 hour. Expected the jetting to be pretty far off and was shocked that it was Damn close. Big thanks to Zack at PHP for the jetting suggestion and camaroz28550 for setting them up.
Initial impressions are this thing is super responsive and handles amazing. I don't know if its the angled bond rails or what but it carves like a knife. Motor/pump setup is great. Very snappy and unbelievably hooked up. That's probably my only complaint at this point. I can barely get it to slide, I know it can its just gonna take a little practice. Also tried my first foward momentum flatwater flip. Wasn't very spectacular but gotta start somewhere.

That's all for know. Going to redo some cooling lines and she will be ready for the weekend.

Congrats on maiden voyage!! Ski is sharp.

U have a ffh so it just takes a little front foot pressure to offset the rear end being so hooked up. When both feet are in rear holds its a bit more finesse than just ff pressure. Keeping pole as short as tolerable is a big help.

Sportfish has a project boiling in the basement of the CSD (Chan-Skunkworks Division) to help alleviate some of the rear end being so planted. Hard to believe that's a problem, but there is a time when u want to slide. Freaks have this down for sure. Some future R&D sessions will tell what happens to the prototype.

Good point about the ffh, I didn't even really try it out yet. I was doing everything from the read holds. Curious to see what the csd comes up with ; )

Heres a pic of my good breather setup invade anyone was interested

The hood breaths through the rear on both sides, you can see one of the openings in the picture above. Is your sealed back there?

Rear is somewhat sealed. Not 100% closed, but not open enough for breathing purposes. Its open enough to allow water egress.

That thing looks great. I also think mine is a little hard to slide the rear as well but Im quickly getting more comfortable which lets me ride more aggressively. Im interested in what Sportfish has up his sleeve.
