note to self, dont do subs in shallow water

Well doc says I shouldent ride for two weeks. I was doing a sub and I learned the hard way that the water depth needs to be deeper than 5 feet. I hit the bottom so hard, Im suprized I dident get any damage to my hull. I have a video of it too, i should put it up. I had a plastic surgend stich it, Im glad I did because I cut my burser gland as well, took 30 or so stiches.

Looks kinda like what I just went through, had to have three layers of stitches. Mine was down lower on my shin. First I went to my regular doc to get swen up,my friend the nurse there took a peek and said I needed to go straight to the ER to get xrays because of the impact and have the ligements looked at.

That was Saturday, today it feels fine.Im hittin the lake this weekend:biggthumpup:

ps linky no worky

I've done that before a couple times.....except for the whole kneegina part. I ride in a small lake sometimes and most of it is only about 5ft deep.

wtf is a burser gland?

Footholds help a ton. I do that stupid stuff all the time. :banghead: I am the depth finder for everyone else. I have plowed bottom so many times I can't count that far. My ski has scratches all the way up to the nose cover where it has been in the mud.

With footholds your feet are locked in so it just folds you in half as your feet and the pole are your only contact points... LOL

my friend hit the bottom in 20ft of water one time doing an accidental high speed sub on an sxr. depth was verified by boat depth finder. I have not hit the bottom yet luckily.....I ride alot in 8-10 ft of water.

I woke up this morning, and this ********, f^&^ing hurts!! doc gave me tylenol with codeine, I really need some perks or somthing. I can compair the pain to two broken ribs I got from motocross.

i can verify the 20 foot sub. my first real sub i got a little exited and went in at a 90 degree angle. i hit the bottom (not hard) nose first in 17 feet. if you look at it this way, you get 7 feet + nose to stern from the ski alone. that and a WOT and bottom is not that far away.
