Well I've loved this site since it started and have been an active member. It always had that friendly, close knit community feeling to it. But over the past several months everything has taken a severe turn for the worst. People that were "friends" have been putting bullets in their backs instead of wanting to take a bullet for them. Every thread seems to turn into pissing matches and noone seems to get along with anyone. This site has always been about people staying in touch, organizing rides, and helping with builds. Lately it has lost all of that. I personally just like to ride. I'm not a builder, seller, repair person or any of that. Just a rider and a member of the site. I find myself coming here less and less everyday and the b.s. keeps piling up here, makin me question who are friends, and who are acquaintences for personal gain. Ill still come here occasionally and I plan on going to some of the freerides next year, but for the most part, im taking a leave to see if things get back to the way they were. The northern freeze is almost here so riding is out for at least like 6 months uch: but thats ok because i enjoy my family more than my ski.

On a side note, my grandmother recently passed away and it made me realize a few things. We were supposed to visit her last wednesday but we had things to do so we put it off, unfortunately she passed on the next day. For now on, we are not putting things off, no more "we'll do it another day". I know it sounds cliche and you've heard it your whole life but it is very good advice. It goes well here too. Everyone loves to ride and thats why we are on this site in the first place.

I am also sorry for the way the site has been lately. If we don't "moderate" enough - people like you leave. If we moderate too much - we are accused of hiding, covering up and being Bryan Glynn.

Part of the problem here is that there are a number of trouble makers on this site that love to just stir up sh&t and piss in everyone elses cheerios. We all know who they are. What's the answer? Who knows. Again go back to the comment above.

They need to just grow up. I've been out of junior high for 20 years. I'm not sure about a few of the people here...I think they are perpetually stuck wanting to be a member of the "cool club" so they have to open their cock-holsters every chance they can.

I havent lately, and wont for a while, spend nearly as much time here as I have in the past.

I stay in touch with a few folks here, otherwise, its way down the list on sites I browse anymore.

But in reply to your observation.... Umm it's winter... This place and PWC yesterday was the same way I have seen it for years. AS soon as people get caught up from summer the bad attitude sets in that winter is here and moral and everything else goes down hill... it will be better about April unless we do something about it.....

You might as well stick around, one less middle of the road person leaves room for one more freak. I am completely new to the sport, and if it wasnt for this site, and the FANTASTIC hospitality of Penguin, Mick and a bunch of others I wouldnt have even been introduced to the sport at all. Just think, if you leave I will have one less opinion on my future ski build-up. feel free to stop by Texas any time, the weather is great, and we spent all day in the water yesturday with board shorts on.
