Maybe consider selling the plans and materials list, and allow others to source the materials and make concessions where they see fit.

I understand your predicament, as when it comes to the ski, most of us focus on the boat and then try to save wherever possible on the accessories. Yet from a business perspective, you at least need to break even.

Either way, the carts look great!

If it was that easy to produce these things at a low cost there'd be more options out there. And to be competitive you can't be sub-contracting the welding out.

Reality is Aluminum isn't cheap, welding isn't cheap, and non-metal floatation wheels aren't cheap (defeats the purpose of an AL cart putting steel wheels on it).

Best options are finding one used, the aqua-cart, or fabbing up your own (steel, wood, pvc) IMO.
