Octane bearing housing help

My rubber flange on the bearing housing unit is no good. Polaris no longer sells the bearing house. Couldn't I just make a thin rubber gasket and bolt it back on to stop it from leaking ? Makes sense to me. I am not a jet ski mechanic. Any advice ?

Sell it to me for parts martin. Lol.

That bearing is just to keep the shaft from moving without the seal going with it. That unit just keeps the water out of the engine compartment. You would be better off cleaning the rubber very well and filling it with some sort of flexible stuff. I've got a mint condition housing but I'm not sure I want to get rid of it. Octane is the 5 bolt pattern. Fits yamaha 3 bolt also. 3 on the bottom and 2 on top

My Octane has four bolt holes in a square pattern in side the compartment hole. I saw the five bolt pattern on the house bearing. Only took out four bolts to take out the housing bearing. The three on the bottom on the octane housing I am not using the middle bolt. I think Yamaha has three bolts two on top and one in the bottom middle. Makes a triangle pattern ? I am I wrong ?

I think your saying you can use an octane bearing housing on a Yamaha because of the five bolt pattern on a yamaha ? Yamaha midshaft housing cost 160. The octane bearing housing cost a lot more if it was available.

If you want to sell your bearing housing to the octane I will buy it.

I have a complete octane running gear that I was thinking about putting in a round nose. I can always put the octane driveshaft in a superjet housing, so i dont really have to keep this rare as hens teeth part lol

I just looked it up and since it's not available, there was no price. But other parts were available and ridiculously high priced. I made $1200 today selling junk doing nothing ,so I dont dream about money. What's your top offer or it can just sit where it's been sitting for the last 5 years Lol. $300 for a billet coupler and rubber dampener means octane parts are stupid expensive
