Octanes RULE!!!!!

After what seems like forever fo my Octane to get here from MI it finally arrived late friday night. I couldnt wait to ride it so I met up with the boys at The Zone on Saturday, to get a feel for it.

The first thing that came to mind after 5 minutes was: " Who's the freaking idiot that started the rumor that Octanes dont turn?"

This has GOT to be the biggest load of crap I have Ever head about a ski.

I love my new octane. It's VERY close to perfect as it sits right now.

One of the guys in our crew has a Octane. It not being his primary boat when my SXR blew up he was nice enough to let me ride that until i got it fixed. That boat hooks up insane and can be pounded through the buoys. Just takes some getting used to like any other boat. I find the handling is between a SJ and SXR. Kinda like the FX1 between the 550 and SJ.

Also it leaps out of the water quite well. Much better then a SXR.

Eric and I are sore as hell today. we havent ruled out a ride today. But we have to help my old man with some stuff before we do anything.

I rode only one Octane before, with some nice mods. It was in Pismo surf, and it was awesome.
I really liked the ride.

It's pretty impressive when a stock boat comes with a factory pipe lol, I understand Randy @ watcon had alot to do with the r & d in that boat. we met him at tastin-n-racin in washington super nice guy and very intelligent . polaris is still by far the leader in snowmobile's as far as mountain sled's go here in southeast alaska. I know that there is not much of a following on the watercraft here on the X but I would love to have a octane congrat's WolfChild.

octane does not handle but is still a fine boat to freeride on.electric powerband,tossable and reliable but would not race on one.

I raced an Octane in '02. That boat is the main reason I took 3rd in Novice stock at the WF. As fast and stable as it was and as awesome as it hooked up, I could never get it to turn like I wanted on a race course. I would like to ride one with tubbies.
I never freerode that boat.....I would like to ride one in surf......It could be very fun!
