jetworks + tender once a month = :brap: when I push the green button

about the connections, after the first time i put them on/took them off i actually like them better
Cranmmit442 has a very neat setup on his Jetworks battery with a small piece of tapped stainless and wing nuts, battery comes in and out in no time and no more funky connections.

haha check out the "health and fitness" forum and you'll see why I can't take any pics for ya right now. the terminals are vertical squares, perpendicular to the long side of the battery with a phillips screw and 10mm nut through them. you just throw a stubby screwdriver in the tool kit and in my sxr there was already a 10mm wrench in there. easy on easy off and you don't have to keep track of those little anchor cube things that a normal terminal screw screws into.

can somebody else step up and take a pic?

Now that I look at it, I might have that nut tack welded into place, and switch to a bolt. All you would need then would be a 10mm wrench and not a wrench and screw driver

If you want to make it easier just cinch the screw down with an extra 6mm nut.

I Like the Jetworks connections better .At least you know it won't break which is key when spending that kind of money on a battery .
I just heated up a phillips screwdriver and bent it to remove and install the Jetworks with ease .

Long before I went through the trouble of actually bending a screwdriver, I would have simply replaced the philips head bolt with a hex bolt.

I was just wondering how those are comparable specs? The Odyessy is stated as having 625 cranking amps in short burst of 10 seconds, you are saying that the GPS battery is rated at 280 amps, regular wet call YB16CL-B's are rated at 270 amps so it is comparable to a YB16CL-B but not to an Odyessy PC625 as far as specifications go.

I've always been told to look at the CCA's, not the CA's....

the pc625 may have 625 ca's, but its the 265 CCA's that are important.....

the mini batt I bought is either 225 or 235 CCA's and it only weighs 6 lbs....

it turns over the motor in my REV so fast I still cant believbe it to this day......it has not been charged since daytona and still works perfect

I think alot of people are using worn starters and questionable cables and are losing alot of power

I dont think its LOTS MORE as you would say.

there have been some issues, but everytime this comes up several people pile up on either side of the issue.
some of us, they last for YEARS with no issues.

some folks they fail right away.

Im just saying, you have your opinion, and I have mine, neither is more factual than the other.

have YOU personally ever had a PC625 fail?
Ive got 5 in service for a few years now, ZERO problems.

so between just you and I, the odds look pretty good for the PC625, unless of course youve have had 5 of them fail.

IM not saying run out and buy one, I wont pay more than $72 for one.
but I can say the ones I have, have been VERY good batteries.

Ya ,I could see in that nice and easy laid back lake environment they would last longer than the constant impact of surf riding .

Lots more have had issues lake ,you must be lucky

Now I remember. I've had the Jetworks before. I removed the stock screws, switched to longer hex bolts and put them in backwards with a lock nut-cable-locknut install.
