Same as waverunners pumps - the wear ring is going inside pumpsue about 3-4mm - a bit of sealant as yamaha also uses from factory on runners and you are good to go - this is firs one but future ones will be powdercoated in different colors

Seems like a good idea to me- technically you could tap the pump shoe for the long bolts to thread into to make sure it’s perfectly tight. Pump shoe install would have to be absolutely perfect though.

what brand are you using, the jd shoe is a ruff casting rrp is much better i was able to get a few threads in on the thin side, but also didn't torque it too tight .

i'll produce more this winter - same yamaha oem style - no rubber ring

All summer i have tested one on my rickter fs2 5mm stroker - after having to work hard to enlarge the intake duct(was design for 144) to fit and align the pump/pump shue and engine ( because with 155 pump - you need a 10 mm longer shaft for full splines engage, also pump is larger in diameter and then your shaft on pump side will be lower than 144 so will enter the hull on more angle - so you will need to lift a bit the front of engine to be all aligned) - so after all this trouble - 155 with right impeller is super

You have to use sealant between wear ring and my pumpshue - and after final alignment and sealed - when you want to work on pump/impeller leave the wear ring in place and all will be easy to reinstall - so you need to have the blaster 2 style 8mm long bolts and blaster 2 wear ring with treads on it for long bolts

instead of lengthening the drive shaft, have the mid shaft milled back 10 mill and add spacers to accommodate the shaft splines engagment , also you can split the difference with adding shims on the motor side of the coupler, ada and cold fusuion offer drive coulpers with different offsets that will fix this alignment issue , cost?? what avenue is worth it ? custom length drive shaft probably the cheapest. 155 is for sure the way to go..

yes - in my case was much easy to fabricate a custom midshaft from a yam wave raider midshaft - because i have a friend that has a metal working lathe at home - so no needed spacers on back of couplers

somewhat reviving a dead thread, but has anyone been running a 155 in a stock SJ tunnel? seems that there are many concerns that the stock or certain AM tunnels are too small even with a 155 shoe?

Question for when tapping for dual cooling...

Are guys tapping for 1/4" or 3/8" NPT on a 1/2" barb fitting? Seems a little silly to restrict a 1/2" barb fitting with a 1/4" thread, but I figured I'd check and see if I can get any input before doing it on mine.
