They look pretty cool to me, but I can buy a nice used quad for $2500... So while 4k does seem reasonable compared to jet skis and the latest engine powered surf boards and other 'novelties' I don't consider myself a potential customer.

I have seen all the posts from Zack and i'd like to believe that his comments and excitement are genuine and not some sort of 'paid' hype thing, but who knows.
Maybe one of the local guys will buy one and I can take a rip on it assuming its made legal.

I don't necessarily want to be on the hater side, and its cool that Mark and Zack are flipping them but damn they look boring. Not really fast enough, nimble enough or light enough to be a bunch of fun....would be a killer way to drag your ski around the beach/ride spot but thats about it.

IMO this is what 99% of the riding would look like....(turn the music off to get a real good feel for it)

You guys crack me up.

So we flipped the shredder. Yes it was a custom one.
Yes they are making stage 1-3 for the stock ones.
Yes they will flip with less power than the one we used.

Bottom line is that we were called in to flip it. They had fmx and other guys try and they COULD NOT DO IT. So it's not like anyone can do it.

Don't write off something you have not seen nor tried. It is genuinely a fun thing to ride especially in groups. Don't be close minded. Yes you can ride a motorcycle invented in the 1900s. Yes you can ride a quad from 1970.
What about something new? What about something that is designed to be an extension of your body? What about something that feels like a jet ski on the land and you are screaming and yelling having fun because it feels like a flippin jetski!?

What about using this to pull your jetski through the sand or around events? It has a hitch adapter built in! Jetski, beach cart, shredder. All in the bed of your truck.

It's like they were made for our community and it would be cool if you guys could open your mind to something new... It's will be a thing. They do have the capability and the fun factor. The waves suck but your at an event and a few of your friends have shredders? Guess what, your in for a hell of a good time!

They are shooting to be EPA approved next summer.

For the record this was also a R&D devolpment test and we did break a part here and there but every shredder left running and the slight problems are being done now so the consumer will never have that problem!

Another big thing is we used this time to push our sport and get it into the publics eye so if anything, appreciate that.

Guys are so negative.

So pretty much go into everything knowing that people can't ride these things. That guy sucks at riding it.

We were on the 110 track making the jumps and drifting turns. Thrashing and crashing along the way. I went so fast on the track that Travis was stoked.....

Basically don't write this thing off until you see our clip next week.

They are fun as hell.

@tightithrash I noticed the large run in ramp up to your flip ramp, can the Shredder get to flip speed on its own or do you need the extra boost from the ramp to get to speed?

Jet skis have been around since the early 70's and are still cool as f@ck. You don;t look like a herb putting 20k+ into one, and they are still on their way to peak.

edit : I think its funny people are going to/or might buy into the hype just because they saw a few guys backflip one. Though they will never themselves be able to backflip one without wrecking the machine or their bodies

You realize that mentality is stupid right? And you sound stupid....?

edit : I think its funny people are going to/or might buy into the hype just because they saw a few guys backflip A JETSKI. Though they will never themselves be able to backflip A JETSKI without wrecking the machine or their bodies....

But here we are on a forum full of 20k machines that won't backflip.

See where I'm going here? Quit hating bro.

We were starting at the flat of that.

We could have started from the top, hit it going 50+mph and have gone waaaaayyyy bigger but I didn't want to Carey Hart myself.

This is just the beginning.

I eagerly await your videos, I think most of the skepticism comes from the small amount of videos out there right now. It's like telling non standup riders about what we do and all they can find online is this.

You nailed it. As more and more time goes on it will just keep getting better.

its easy to hype up novelty crap if it was free to beat on. $2500 for that? yea right........ $500 maybe and thats how much they'll be, used , in a few years if many even sell. just like old jetski carcasses laying around.

But that's what makes it cool. 4-5k is do able. As time goes on they will be cheaper used. It's not like it's a 30k dollar ski that a lot of people will never be able to afford ever and will never go used cheaper than 15 which is a lot.

Now that is funny. I love watching guys build 10-20k skis and can barely ride them. I remember the first brig ride I helped somebody load a Superfreak with 1000cc motor, race gas and total loss in the water. He was crying ten minutes later after I back flipped my crusty Squarenose off little 3 footers. My whole boat cost less than his motor.

Shredders look cool but seems like a lot $$$ right now. I could see it being good for park rangers or utility workers in back woods situations.

I think shredders coming to the states will open up even more areas for the aftermarket suppliers to capitalize on. I can see it now, DASA will be doing a stroker for them, powerfactor will have an exhaust etc. I can't wait to see one in person. I'd love to own one.

If only people on here would understand the amount of time and effort that Zack, Mark, Ryan and the rest of those involved put into dialing in those flips I think there would be a whole lot less hate. Give these guys more time on one and the possibilities are endless
