Oh ok... it’s just the Rad billet cranks have a very distinct web counter weight. Here is a photo on my Rad crank and also a Rad crank in the fs section.

Are you testing the trueness of the crank or the bearing, the way you are testing?

After thinking about it, I think I would take it to a CNC precision (not automotive) machine shop and have them test it to compare with your results. Cannot be that expensive for a second opinion. Maybe they will press off the bearings first and put the shaft on precision V blocks?

My local crank place wanted 300$ to replace a rod and I was going to supply the rod.. Probably better off buying a new one.

@Harbor For accurate testing, do the V blocks you referred to hold the bearing or do they hold the crankshaft?

Depends what you have on hand. He’s fine the way he’s doing it. He wants to see how much damage is at the coupler end. You can see the run out visually even with the crank in the case.

The trueing table has bearings for both ends of the crank to roll on....
