I will never buy another product from this company again. Took me forever to get my stuff.... some of it never came.... I trashed the hood in less then 2 weeks..... I was promised things that never happened.

:sad6:

so he never sent you the replacement hood?
never sent Misquini the pole................

Will never get my business.

I have had my hood for 2 seasons I think (2 Daytonas and 2 Cleveland summers) and pancaked some bf attempts and massive stabs and and some nasty throw aways. Not a single sign of abuse.

And so far I'm not thinking about rolls so I definitely can't speak for the abuse I'm sure those dish out. They confuse me. I like massive stabs, re-entries and very soon big backflips.

I truly love his work and his innovation. The more I think about it I am just going to call him and get a light weight hull. I know I can't afford a DE (I'm guessing its almost 10k shipped) .

I guess its between an XFT in pieces or a WDK assembled and shipped or picked up.

I will say Jeff seems to have gotten better about delivery. I have seen a few WDK hoods that were trashed. Right now he is very innovative, I will give him that. But still would not spend a dime on it.

Wow I just read complete 2007 thread of Waterdawg issues.[EVIL][/EVIL] Have they/Jeff gotten better? I was looking to grab his REV Footholds as most seem to swear by them.

Not feeling I need to rush to buy anything else from them just beause I don't really need much more yet. However that said - nothing pmo more then shoty workmanship and lack of customer care.

Jeff seemed to be on a roll near the end of that thread responding to every question. Maybe that was just what he needed. But have things really changed with the company?

Is the quality there?:deal:

I recieved my footholds within a week of me ordering them. But like BK said, its pretty much hit or miss with Jeff. He's a busy fella.
However, I hate the footholds. I would try them out first for its personal prefrence. Slutty said he loved his.
You sure as hell can't beat his prices...
Be patient. Oh, and squeaky wheel gets the greece! :fing02:

Yep sounds like he has gotten better on his shipping and promises but he has done that one before and fell on his face.

I am right behind you BK I would never send money, maybe upon delivery of parts and its a shame because he has some good ideas.

funny how everybody jumped on the $49.95 Rev footholds when nobody had even ridden with them........ Some like them, some dont......... I have not ridden them but have stuck my foot in them. was not comfortable, but some work on fit may help... To each his own.

They need the back and ankle opened up to be comfortable, since doing that they feel great.

Speedfreak had them and they hurt the top of my foot but I think with some padding to fit an individuals foot they would be ok.

Mark44

That's my problem with them.... too tight on the top of the foot. Padding would help it to be softer on your foot but I feel like there's not enough height clearance for my foot to kick all the way into the hold.

I'm partial to Wammers Cyclone Malone footholds. They seem to fit nice and be deeper in the ankle area allowing you to maintain a more natural "straight" stance. I don't like standing with my toes pointing outward.

Creative RE Purchasing
Bluegtate ordered a set of REVs and got them within 1 week. Shipping seems to be getting better. Especially compared to the highroller front foot hold he ordered the same day that still hasn't arrived 2 weeks later.

the rev footholds are a joke from the ridiculousness of installation to final feel. i wont even get into actually dealing with WDK. im sure youve read enough about that to form your own opinion.

check out the WCF holds. theyre similar to cyclones, but cover the top of the foot for a little more bite..... and theyre extremely comfortable and big enough to have enough padding for my size 13's.

Realize that on this site some people are in bed with certain builders, and or are sponsored riders.

Waterdawg's service has been great to some and less than great to others. Jeff has treated me professionally each time I have spoke with him. He returns my calls and is A+ IMO. Can only speak for myself/ my own experiences.

There are also 2 sides to every story. We generally only hear the customers side of things, and you usually hear about complaints more than success.

There are several people in the world who arn't pleased no matter what they get.

Ordering a set of REV's,. I would definately do. WDK keeps them instock all the time, and for the price you can't really beat it.

For the small price of the footholds try WDK for yourself so you can respond to threads with your experience.

I wanna Jet Mate too....something to carry my tools out on. lol .....and to tow me in!

I am not sponsered and I got 2 sets of footholds in a timley manor and was very happy with the product and the communication. I also thought Jeff was very personal and friendly and took his time to explain the products when I talked to him in Havasu 07..

If it is true (not saying it is) that someone would bash someone elses product because they are sponsored by product "B" that is pretty nasty.

Jeff has always been super cool to talk to and the products that I have from him (hood, nosepiece, chinpad, R.E.V. holds w/enclosures) speak for themselves. And the prices are GREAT!!
