I see plenty of people agree with you here, so I'm out.
I dont, i ran both back to back and only use the B for simplicity, gasgas been running his for 3 seasons and loves it exept for maintainance or access to the head.

Yea I would rather have mine hanging on the wall than to have sold it. I don't know what it was about that speedwerks but it was pretty dang amazing. But I still clearly and without a doubt picked up quite a bit of off idle throttle response with the B. I may have lost 500 R's but it was night and day to my riding style.

I loved my Speedwerx. Kept blowing couplers, though.
Then I jumped on the Bandwagon.

ive never blown any coupler's yet but it is hard to get to the head thats forsure.. i think if you dont have a handful of mods the type4 is the best bang for the buck when you set it up properly..

junk yard j . when you say set it up properly you mean proper installation and carbs tuned?.... i hear alot they aRe good pipes if they are installed right with the bigger coupler

crab did you say you ran the type four and couldnt tell a difference between that and the b pipe other then access to the head probs. im also pretty muhch stock i have impros impeller, ign enhancer, and intakes, and a shredmaster rideplate. this winter the heads will be milled and flywheel lightened

my type 4 hits good. but i have a ton of chit done to my ski. it had the same coupler for about 5 years until i started riding in the surf and beating up my ski. i love the pipe and i have seen the same unreliability out of b-pipes (cracked manifolds and blown out couplers) but if i was starting from scratch i would use a b-pipe simply for the room in the hull.

Pay once and do it right...brand new B pipe 700+ shipped to the door. I have done it twice and would do it 10 more times before going back to dry's.

I'll give you that. Most people do eventually end up with a B-pipe.

if you get the type 4 shoot me a pm and ill let you know the carb setup on the wife's ski it has cutback prop, inchancer, head and thats about it and ive rode a sj with the same mods and a b pipe and a bunch of people said mine hit harder including the owner.. imho if you plan on building a big motor eventually go for the b pipe but if $$ is a issue go for the type4 and for the extra $50 the injection will clean up the bottom end..

LOL....I was thinking the opposite......if you have enough money to put 160HP behind a dry go for it...if you plan on running limited motors...then B.

Hell I don't know. I give up. I am just happy to finally be happy with a ski! My B piped non ported 180psi 13/16-3 light weight hull rips! And this same motor with 2 different dry pipes ripped too....but at higher R's.

blah blah blah. its all BS. this thread has been started and read 1000 plus times. everyone needs to get the F over thier big c@ck stories about their pipe. it all depends on your setup anyone with any common sense knows that. B-pipe, dry pipe, dirt pipe, whatever. they all make power. but different mods compliment in different ways. and they all break in the surf. :deadhorse::deadhorse::deadhorse:
