Pfp superjet problem

Hello, I am mounting a PFP exhaust on my superjet, but I found this problem.
The pipe touches against the hull and therefore does not align well with the manifold.
What I might do?
I'm running out of ideas.
the only idea would change the hull ...
The coupling can seal anyway even if not aligned?

What I have done in the past was to cut the chamber and change the angle of the flange so it will aline with the manifold. Then weld it all back together. Very importand to get the manifold and chamber to aline well and be square to each other.

My Rrp pipe has about the same amount of coupler misalignment/uneven gap as your pipe does. I put a piece of turf on the pipe where closest to the hulls side wall to protect rubbing, ran the uneven gap and tighten the couplers, Been working fine....or cut the flange like Moto360 said

Where is the contact coming from that is making the pipe out of line. IDK what stage your hull is in condition wise but id be grind out some of the mounts and bottom of the engine compartment and then maybe some layers of carbon to help strengthen any thin spots? And if its rubbing against the side near the same spot tubbies would be mounted what about bubbling out the hull a bit so you have clearance. It would sure be hard for me to cut into my PFP lol

I'm confused as to why your having a problem at all. I have a stock 08 RN hull and it fits with a ton of room. GIL had one in a Pre 08 SJ and didnt have a problem either.

It almost looks like your gap is at the top of the manifold and the outside agains the hull. Are you following the directions with the pipe? did you glue in the foam blocks they send with the pipe? It almost looks like your trying to lay it on the bottom of the hull. If this is the case by adding the block it will raise the front of the pipe eliminating the gap at the top and also give you more room to move the pipe to the outside of the hull as the top deck is wider above the bond line. hope this help. good luck

We had this problem on a 2000 SJ. We took the manifold to a local machine shop and had them surface the exhaust mount flange, ( if I remember 15 degrees ). Made the alignment perfect.
