What were the steps . Starting grit and so on . Also assume you had to use a UV rated clear coat to protect the resin from UV damage. Really looks nice hats off to you guys.

Zack can explain this one. I know that we sanded the piss out of it and then put epoxy on and sanded more.....repeat that step multiple times and then did some body filler and sanded more, then Zack did his airbrush work and then clear. I forget what we used as far as grit paper but I remember using 80,180,320 and maybe others. Sorry I'm on some pain meds for a torn bicep and awaiting to see an orhtopedic surgeon on Monday :( looks like I won't be testing this hull this coming year

X2, that sounds extremely painful. Hopefully recovery is quick and smooth for you. I know you hit the gym a lot but how did you tear a bicep?

We were working on a 300'bluff on lake Michigan doing erosion control and had to roll 80-100lb straw bale checks that were about 4 foot in diameter down the bluff and I had to catch them halfway and turn them. And it was only 7 degrees out too which doesn't help muscle fibers in this situation. They were prolly going 30+ mph and the third one I got came off a side I couldnt see and my left arm caught it and just felt pins and needles and popping:( This pic isn't the best but you can see where my bicep stops halfway down.....not good. I was lookin up info on surgeries and most recovery times are 6-9 months....... Fingers crossed for better news on Monday

Man...that sucks! It's gonna be a few (2-3) months of recovery if you have surgery. I biceps tendon repair is no joke. Your arm will loose about 40% of its strength if its not a complete tear and u don't have surgery. They try to get it moving soon after a surgical repair, but its some serious rehab and PT. Good luck Pain.

I'm definitely pushing for surgery because my job requires lots of physical strength. I've had many injuries through the years and this one has me the most nervous because I have to wait all damn weekend to see a doc to really know what's up. They gave me two percocet at the ER and said we can't do anything, go see a orthopedic surgeon. My ER doc looked about 22 and made me pull on her arm as I'm in agony and she says " well its not broken so good luck" I wanted to rip her head off! I said no :):):):) but do you see the hole where my bicep should be??? She said I should follow up with a Orthopedic surgeon.....I said oh a real doctor! I hate the ER !!!!

Any one should be able to tell from the looks of it that your bicep is abnormal. You def have a tear. The bicep on a complete rip will ball up into the shoulder. Im surprised there isnt any internal blood pooling up around the elbow or wrist. Your def getting advanced imaging and the ortho will be able to get a game plan ready for surgery. Sorry to hear about your injury.

Saw the surgeon today and he is scheduling surgery for later this week or early next. MRI tomorrow and then under the knife shortly......Distal bicep tear was the prognosis:(

Good luck with the surgery man. I had a partial tear on my left bicep from missing a squat at a pl comp. Doc gave me the option of surgery as it wasn't a complete tear. I opted to let it heal without, I never fully recovered. I have to warm up before hitting the water or I end up having to ice it later that night. Lol

Hull was wet sanded again and recleared. Didn't look good enough for our standards. Now she's better!

Wow. Looks killer. Gonna have to heat the pond for a winter rip when it's done!
