if you make it 15min south east of pismo in your travels remember "avocado theft is a crime".
it will make sense ounce you get there.
there are lots of cool things to see in the area i know of some chumash hand painted caves that are pretty dang cool..well im chumash and i think there pretty dang neet! (they are in santa barbra and are HELLA OLD)
there is this wacky danish town called soulvange thats a tourist trap but worth seeing just to say you did. and its close to the chumash casino if your a gambling man.

im assuming you are talking about the paintings at "painted cave" off hwy 154??... definitely cool, but they put the bars over the cave and it kinda kills the atmosphere..my brother who is big into hiking found this other spot in the backcountry that has a ton of paintings....nobody really goes there and its totally undisturbed..if u like to hike i could point u in the right direction..pretty amazing back in that area anyways...

The bars do kinda kill the deal but without them people where stealing and "tagging" the cave, I'd like to check out the other caves, there is a birthing rock and allot of other artifacts on the navel base but you gotta have special permission to go there.

IIRC, its between the Pier Ave entrance and mm1. I would never pull my trailer through it like this guy did when the water is that high
