Plastic Hull??

Think about snowmobile manufacturers in the 60's and 70's, everyone made them, now there are only a few top companies. They could not compete, were bought out and just could not survive so they went under. If you weren't into the mix during the beginning of aftermarket hulls, then in my opinion, it would be tough to break into the market now.

Let the guy try it. It's not my money, and you know what? Innovation and thinking outside the box is what got humans this far. Maybe he'll find a way to impregnate carbon strips (or some other technique/ material) in strategic spots for reinforcement. But I guess if you guys say no, it's not possible, right? Guess I'll go back to my day job, doing things I was always told wasn't possible, and getting paid for it.
Carry on.

I agree.

Take all the above posted comments and turn it into a list. What seems like negativity is in fact real world experience and that is invaluable to new projects success. That list is everything you will need to overcome to be successful!

Nothing is impossible, especially in today's world where technology is making things so much easier and cheaper for everyone. There's some pretty big hurdles in that list but they just weed out the less serious contenders.

Just out of curiousity, and I know it's not quite the same abuse pattern, but has anyone seen the abs boat hulls, or the 3d printed boat hulls? I'm not going to bat for them, because I have no clue about them, but one of my customers was mentioning them because I keep making fun of him about repairing his aluminum jet boat hull that he rides in honey mud puddles.

3d printed wouldn't be strong enough, and would cost a fortune to have a printer that big.
Some big names have built plastic boats and jetski, non of then really worth a dang for extreme use application like ours.

Anything possible, but I doubt the OP has a few hundred thousand laying around. Wouldn't be a smart business move, there is no money in this market, it would take years to break even and that is only if he had a good product.

Drop in electric crate motors with interchangeable mounts to fit various skis, applicable to couches also. Strap the batteries to existing gas tanks mounts. Allow for swappable batteries to offset weight and ride time. Most people don't ride continuously for more than 1 hr straight, if you could get a run time near that with swappable batteries, I think it would be a lot more lucrative than plastic hulls.
