LAWL, you know I came in here with a smartass remark defending police as being human, too.

But seeing that video, hearing the maroon annoyingly yelling at the owner to relax, and the police "investigating" (WTF?) makes me drop any and all sympathy I might have had.

:):):):) that asshole and the boat he rode in on. Needs to be fired and sued.

Honestly wtf. The owner gets scolded for being upset!!?? I wish news sources followed up on chit like this. A cop in that situation can potentially incriminate the owner for something on the boat!

The boat owner will have to go to court and prove he was not at fault, unfortunately just like getting a speeding ticket when you say you were not speeding the court ALWAYS takes the word of the cop. Even if there is NO PROOF to support thier claim. Its a system that requires $ to escape being railroaded. If they have the money to hire a good lawyer then they will come out fine. Unfortunately it will probably not be worked out in thier favor until this time next year.

They probably have a boat payment they will be making without being able to use thier boat for a year.

There was absolutely no call for that cop to be oporating that recklessly in that congested of an area, but he will justify it some way and attempt to put the boat owner at least partially at fault.
The bad news is our taxes will aid his deffense and pay for the repairs to both boats.

That is GeorgeTown Waterfront for yah...I live not far and by no means take our boat or skis near there anymore. That is a forbidden " No Wake zone" down there. Alot of rowing sculls and paddleboats around. They ticket heavily there for everything, loud music, wakes and over all too much fun..after the incident on sunday the cops didnt harass anyone the rest of the day..look whos the idiot now...Video will be hard to prove innocence on the cop..but I bet he cry's " Throttle Stuck" or Emergency Response B.S...
