Polystyrene,Carbon,FFH and special SJ drain system idea

these will work great until you land tail first in a shallow area and break off that plug. keep that in mind- its Florida- its all shallow.

Been thought about...Dave runs a JD rideplate and I run a Riva, we both sharpen our ride plate in the sand when we land in the shallows....they take the brunt of the hit...

little bit of 2 part Urethane on top for tray support....entire tray to be covered with carbon fiber....hopefully no more future cracked trays....how does it look ?

Why no one way valve for the engine bay drain line?

The idea is if your bilge pumps goes out or quit working it would not totally end your day rather you can pull the drain plug and at least have a mini drain system. We had planned on keeping the drain plugs in while riding and when you clean up you can wash out the engine compartment better...plus check for water under the tray on the other drain plug....

I forgot!
why didn't you just do a scupper valve or oneway valve. it does all that and always drains the hulls so you only need a bilge pump on when your dead in the water. i never run my pump, not even in daytona, but i never lost my ski either, just rolled around with it a bit. with your drain i would be worried about running it without the plug unless you keep it in you pocket or its on a little chain. if you where dead in the water it would let water in pretty quick, almost as fast as the bilge could pump. just my thoughts on it. you did an awesome job on the foam, your ski should stay un water logged for along time.

Dave took his scupper out and carbon'd over it...big surf plus upside down ski=sunk skis (read all about on here with a search) ...we plan to run both plugs in unless the b-pump quits... but you are right I would keep a plug in a pocket (for the dead in the water).
