I ain't taking no dam pictures till it's done!!! And preferably UPSIDE DOWN!!!

After a little heat tonight on a Scepter 10L CARB compliant gas can, IT FITS!!! I figure this will get me by until Thrust unveils whatever they are working on at the moment.
Tomorrow night I will finally put couplers on chamber and strap it down, figure out a way to strap the waterbox down, cut the long exhaust hose for waterbox to outlet pipe,
and then install the fittings in the gas can and fire it up.

IF you run the spec water routing from PFP, how hot is the outside of the chamber while running? Can you lay your hand on it? Trying to figure out how much insulation I need between the tank and pipe, and the waterbox and tank.

You can easily put your hand on it. The only thing that can get dangerously hot is the waterbox.

Thank you kind sir! Now carry on with your foolishness. LOL

The waterbox don't get hot enough to melt straps I presume.?.?.?.

Got hot enough to severely shrinking the turf I glued on it (after some adventurous adjusting of the Jetworks Pro FCV supplied with the pipe)

I went without the 120 jet into the waterbox and I couldn't get that box hot at all... Even with straight 30" of riding. I installed one this year and will see how hot the thing gets. Has anyone tried fine tuning the pfp water box with a tad larger jet for a water box that doesn't melt chit?

The water is cold here (4deg C) at the moment average, we run the 120 jet, and tweak the flow valve to get the waterbox @ 100deg C

the ski performs best with the box nice and hot IMO

Went from 44s, Bpipe, 10/16 prop. To 48s, PFP, 14/19 prop. Way more power. Backflips are now easy. Surprised how much of a difference the pipe made. It flew out of my hands the first time. Not sure how much the carbs added, but I'm guessing the pipe made all the difference. Wondering why nobody told me sooner that Bpipes are garbage compared to PFPs. :^)

Hi

I have a blaster getting the PF pipe in it. as i have a truck load of room. is there a preferred water box, can anyone confirm if a 760 waveblaster box is the way to go, as this was mentioned or stick with the PF one...

ok, so how reliable is this pipe supposed to be... mine is internally cracked & now a massive wet pipe after 3 rides, pathetic...I purchased I ski with the pipe in it...pressure tested it to 5psi, held perfect, no problem and now its ready for the recycle bin.....kinda weak sauce IMO..

Sounds like it's time to convert it to a wet pipe with a spray bar, I think you'll like it.

Powerfactor will probably warranty it. As hink said, they work well as wet pipes also.

There's also a slim chance it may have been set up a little off. They're sensitive to proper height and alignment at the couplers as well. If the expansion chamber isn't tied down square and rock solid they tend to break easier. I had an original (non welded) one and it held fine for over a year. PFP is pretty cool about taking care of their customers like Jetmaniac said. Hit em up!
