Here are a few more to show how angles have been removed. There are also some pics of what the pole looks like in comparison to a AC pole and sitting on a 24/7 millennium hood

Weird question:
With that pole wouldn't the engine compartment take on more water? If not how do you stop it? It does look strong.

My thought is, and pls correct me, that the open pole would allow water to come in from any angle. Most standard or AM poles only bring in water from the top of the pole by the pad and handle bar area. Just an observation looking for answers.

That pole (BTW it does look sexy) doesn't have a breather tube like the X-metal.

Holly sexiness, that thing looks good.

I hate to say it but it's time to play the lotto.

How does she ride????

It has to be wet by now!!! :splatt:

Nope, still have not had it on the water. Pole bushings were to thick so Jeff is cutting me some new ones. Plus I have had allot of family matters on my plate so this is low on my priority list. I did have some free time tonight and since working with my hands relaxes me I decided to install the Full Spec 49mm carbs :bananapowerslide: I was going to wait to see how much of a difference they would make but decided to go ahead and do it. I looked at them both closely and favor the small details on the full spec. However, I have run the Riva 48's and Full Spec 48's and did not really notice a difference. No experience with the 49's though. I also have some case stuffers to toy with later in the season.

Can't wait to hit the water and really work hard on my riding..........it is just a matter of time and focus.........both of which are lacking at the moment.

1st Test Ride

Holy Hell!! I am impressed.

Just to kind of set up the scene, I don't have my bilges installed, the ski is not yet fully turfed, I just put on the full spec 49's and roughly set them up so those are not fully tuned, and my connections that go from my start/stop to the electrical box kept falling off. So, although the ski ran well, I could tell that it was not full there. Infact I think I set the carbs way to rich and fouled a plug towards the end of the whopping 10 minute ride. I was in a mad dash to hit the water and run...........not title, registration, whistle, lanyard or fire extinguisher..............close to 4th of July weekend :Banane01: Not a wise move but what the hay

First thing I noticed about the ski was how light it felt as I was standing behind it getting ready to ride. Just standing in the water and holding the ski I could tell that this was going to be a fun boat. I could move it around with one finger............At one point a wave came over the ramp and seriously looked like it picked the boat up and threw it into my lap. Kind of caught me off guard.

Put one knee in the tray and get ready to ride...........fire the boat up and it just comes alive. The nose is sticking up at probably a good 45 degree angle until I get it up on plane and level it out a bit. I was really squirrelly there for a few minutes b/c it rides totally different than a SJ. The bottom deck on this boat is temperamental............and I mean that in a good way. If you are level and one plane the wide front foot print really makes the ski stable. If you cut a sharp turn like a doughnut or do a sharp 90 degree like you are doing a set up wake, you don't have to fight with the boat as much. Typically I find that on a SJ when you do quick turns you have to let off a bit to keep the nose from digging. The X-jet is different in that respect...........IMO it likes to be ridden hard. If you go into a sharp turn the nose will ride a hair high and it feels like you get slingshotted around b/c you don't have to let off the gas to keep from nosing the boat. However, at slow speeds, side to side the boat feels very unstable once the nose rises. Part of this is due to the shape of the bottom deck and the rest I attribute to the fact that this is just a light hull. Light hulls are twitchy like that. That in no way is a down fall in my book. I bet you can do throws, marriots, ECT like no ones business

I will be the first to admit that I need to practice quite a bit to be able to ride this boat the way it begs to be ridden, but all I kept thinking while I was out on the water was...........Man......I could roll this like a Mother F***** :barrel: Seriously!!!

This first ride was just to feel some things out. I need to button some things up, tune the ski and just ride :woot: I will post more pics and reviews as I ride more and more. Maybe I will get some video as well.

cool glad to hear it- Flacarncycleguy likes his hull a lot too. I know exactly what you mean about the low speed twitchy- I find it hard to get a feel for right off. I would be riding thinking wow this is- and then I would be falling over. but he carves it like a mutha! right now he is battling some minor issues but who doesn't?

haha yes!! i love mine as well!

this thing begs to riddin hard!

im waitng on some pump parts right now so mine is currently down but as far as the past few months of riding is just unbelievable!:sneaky:

that thing will catch air like none other and the bottom design makes it much more bouyant and nose high like you said, i actually had to get rid of my dcut b/c it was too high

the bottoms super loose but with stickin your foot in the corner you can lay the thing on its side and just nail the throttle and pulls doughnuts like crazy

as far as rolls...:haha: that thing spins like no other...:barrel: as i remember jeff said this bracket and what not is almost 1 1/2" lower that the lowest superjet bracket so the weights even lower

anyways glad ya like it! get out there and practice:woot::biggthumpup:

I'm not sure why you guys really want your skis nose high still.
The only reason I can think of is flatwater backys.. besides that????????

When I was riding it for that short time it seemed that the short pole and light nose made your ride forward to keep the nose down. That is part of the reason I say it likes to be ridden hard. You can turn hard and fast but you need to be aggressive in the tray as far as riding up further. It is really touchy to you body position. Once again not a bad thing at all, you just have to be aware of how the boat handles in certain situtations. I have never been on a boat that is so responsive to body position.

I can also say that this motor does not feel like the motor that was in my buddies SJ hull a couple weeks ago. Fells snappier and the boat gerks you along :beerchug: I was seriously not expecting to feel that kind of seat of the pants performance just from switching hulls. Pleasently surprised in that respect.

The hull feels like a combo of:

*750sx - Low speed "twitchy" feeling associated with the 750sx's
*EME1000/800 - Light nose similar to a chopped bottom deck (reminds me of the EME1000 when I rode it b/c the nose is light yet it reatins that carving stablity)
*Superjet - looking down onto the hull when riding it has a SJ feel as far as width and smooth layout.
*But it reatins its individuality in the sense that it rides like a chopped hull until you get up on plane. Then it levels out and handles like a normal boat.

That is about the best way that I can describe it.
