Project "Snow White" 2016 hurricane c2

image.jpg So I'm new to here, but have been skiing for a few years. After this past season I decided that I needed to step my game up.... And here she is!

I'll be updating this as the build goes. I'm currently waiting on an order of parts to come in.

It's a 2016 hurricane c2. It's just white gelcoat unpainted, black/gold graphics kit and snow camo turf. Thus the name of "Snow White" for the project.

Gonna be going with a 61x for the time being. I'm focusing on learning how to tame an aftermarket ski before I toss in a big cc/$$ motor setup.

I've already purchased:

Rrp pole bracket
Ada head with 35cc domes
Thrust ez mini steering
Rrp free ride bars
Hooker 9-15 with a pump cone and a rebuild kit
Dual 44mm carbs and a riva intake manifold (needs new filters though and a rebuild)

So I've got quite a bit to purchase still but the only "big" purchase left is the rrp pole and the exhaust setup; either a tnt setup or a b pipe

I'll be making my own water box as I'm a welder full time and have access to some nice stuff to do so.

@Cole__kelly your right about saving a chunk, but I don't think I could live with those welds... Lol.

And making a pole vs buying one is a time vs money thing. Rather just buy one and be done.

Making something smaller like a gas tank and a water box is pretty simple compared to that.

Yeah I feel ya on that it could be cleaned up a lot but saving 600 is pretty good that pays for the new pipe

@Rennat, do yourself a favor and make sure the exhaust and scupper are sealed properly. You can hook up an air hose to one of the drain plugs with 2-3psi and listen/look for leaks.

@Quinc ive been reading up on your Thread. I'm seeing lots of little things that I'm going to go back over. Like running a small bead of sealant around the cooling tubes where they meet the back of the hull. And making sure the duck bills have some sealant under them too to try and limit the water ingestion.

But I know for a fact because I've seen the new way they bond the two halves together. That they use an actual RTV type compound and smear it smooth with the body lines inside to get a better seal. No more of that weird glue poop like on your ski.

But as with any hand made part it's not 10/10. And I didn't pay 9k for a hull so the little things I'll have to go back over are fine with me.

I'm gonna wait a little to buy the pole, going to try and get most of the other smaller things bought first.

Purchased the FRI Skeleton throttle lever tonight, along with a throttle drum and one of there no slop steering kits, so i'll be waiting for those to come in.

Heres some pictures of the Thrust EZ Mini steering i bought back in november for their black friday special they had going on, along with the RRP bars and there pissers.

@codyadams209 Derrick recommended the steering setup when i originally talked to him, and when i saw it go on black friday for super cheap i had to jump on it. The pissers and bars were just to get free shipping. haha!
