Pump seal issue

When you get you alignment perfect, that sleeve will have zero drag when you slide it in and out. I had to use .005 shim to get it that perfect, but thats just how i roll lol.

As some of the guys have said, the alignment of the shaft through this hole is not what matters. What matters is that is centered in the midshaft bearing, who's 3 mount inserts may not be concentric to that hole. If you pay too much attention to the shaft hole through the hull and not the midshaft bearing, you could end up with it misaligned in the bearing, which wrecks the seals and could eventually wear out the bearing itself.

As long as the shaft doesn't rub the hull, it doesn't matter that much.
