Before the ski left,l put a skim coat of fairing on the top of the rails to smooth them out.Will make a much better surface to lay turf.
Ski laid up on its side is getting ready to be sanded.And a picture of the bottom with a little bit more work.
And the graphics l just got yesterday. closer..

What is the rust red tinted material in the pics?

Fairing compound. Mixed the same way you mix thickened epoxy with Cabisil.lt just can be sanded a lot easier and used more for skim coating like what “bondo” is used for finishing as a light coat on cars and trucks.

Small update. Bought an Rrp ovp steering system for the fx. Have been running Cold Fusion steering since the build got started, but needed to shorten (the length) of the pole by a couple inches. The pole is an older Tem built pole made out of carbon. There was no way this pole can be shortened, so this was the next best thing to do. Thanks to Paul Lehr @Jr. for the parts!
