Question for those of you who've shortened your hull from the outside...

They're in small pockets so it's hard to drop in them and get the nose up, but with trim and a shorter hull it should help!!

We could possibly give you a ride if you were on the way on not too far out of it. A bunch of us are coming down from Thief River Falls, MN.

And you should get something more fuel efficient... I hope big offset tires on a lifted truck aren't keeping you from riding...

Nah I get probably 16 hwy. But it's due to my tire size and gear ratio that I get crappy milage. And I drive hard. You are such a Ford hater.

Nah that's not the reason! We'll see. Possibly putting a hitch on my civic soon. Truck for luxury, civic for fuel efficiency. Just need a hitch for that civic.. I rarely tow my ski since I keep it on a lake so that's why I haven't gotten around to getting a hitch for the civic.

Well get on that... You best be there, it will be an awesome time. And I want to see your back flip. I'm sure you could get it on the roof... Or put down the seats and throw it in trunk..Or pop the rear doors off and put it in the back seat... While your shortening it, throw some wheels on it and tow it from the bow eye... You have options haha

I just looked up the distance.. 500 mile round trip. Thought it was gonna be a longer drive. I might make it with my truck then! Just gotta see if I can get off work. You and me are gonna have some engineering talks if I make it there...

Our trip is over 700 miles round trip, so you have no excuse not to go... just as you have no excuse not to land a back flip. And engineering talks for sure WHEN you make it there! Our group coming down will consist of 8 to 10 engineers so you will have plenty to choose from

Yes you do,

You can get work off... and your ski will be ready. Bring it there and we will finish it if it is not done yet... thats my plan for mine.. still getting domes cut...engine has not been in the hull yet... nothing mounted except for the pump.

Talked to my boss, he's not positive I can take off.. I'll try and convince him though. Helps that he's my dad ;)
I just gotta make sure the aggressive curve on my ignition doesn't require me to rejet my pilot. Ordered my epoxy and glass supplies today, and my electronics and other stuff come this week. Gonna install another bilge pump, new hoodseal, and fix some other water intrusion issues too so it's big Lake surf ready for the fall!

I will probably have to work Friday and drive up there Friday night. Going to see if I can work on my day off so I can take Saturday off then.

I towed my sj and blaster behind my civic for a while. You can get the tow hitch and wire kit on amazon for under 120$ shipped. Takes about 30 minutes to install.
