Question for those of you who've shortened your hull from the outside...

Oooooh okay! I getcha man. My setup is a ported 61x/61x, limited b pipe, epic with 30 degree advance, lightened flywheel, and a single 44, etc. Not as much power as yours but definitely an arm ripper. Might as well. Shorten it since it'll be a bit before I have an a/m hull.
Trim or no trim?

Good news your going to make it! No worries about the shorten... You still have no excuse to not land a back flip :)
Yeeeeeahhh I'm having starter/bendix issues again and have to pull my motor. Good chance I won't make it to the ride :l

Well I was just replacing my bendix since mine grenaded, and I have a minty spare. Well, it wasn't always engaging and would crank sounding extremely harsh. Pulled the motor(thought might as well since I'm gonna be down for a bit, makes it easier to shorten the hull and replace the bendix bushings) and then flywheel/bendix. Hooked up the starter to 12 volts..and DAMN! Terrible whining sound. So my started is fried and my case bendix bushing is real loose.
