Question on Homemade footholes

i have a 83 550 that I'm fixing up i was thinking about just cutting in a rectangle and have a foot holes area because i cant afford to buy any i just wanna do a few sumbermines or basic flat water tricks.. I'm just a 17 year old getting into the sport.. any suggestions or ideas? thank you

If you're just going to cut squares in the hull and upgrade to a nice hold later, you may want to try lifter wedges. Someone on here might have some for a couple bucks. I tried to do some homemade holds and it was way more work than it was worth and it wasn't that good either. Plus I bought all new turf for those homemade holds which was $70 wasted when I ripped it out a few months later.

by the time you spend money and experiment on glassing and molds you'll spend more than if you were to just buy them.. if your short on mula save and have them done properly according to what your goals are!! Good luck brotha!!

I've never used foot holes.

I prefer foot holds
