Other Quick stupid question

I'm going to be removing some decals soon. I was advised on here to use a rubber eraser wheel. I've found tons of them online but I cant find any retailers that carry them locally. I kind of want to just go down to the store and pick one up. I'm one of those instant gratification guys. shipping drives me crazy lol. Where do you guys suggest I go? I've tried O'reileys, harbor freight, advanced auto parts, I even tried to look them up on mcmastercar but couldn't get a hit....

They work great btw...just hook it up to a corded drill n erase away!

With CAUTION!!! You will go right through the paint if you put too much pressure on the eraser.Have you thought about trying a heat gun first? How old is the ski and decals? What condition are they? Sometimes you can go faster by heating and peeling.

l do this kind of work.Feel free to ask any questions!

Thanks guys! I'll take that part number into oreily's because the guy i asked had no idea what i was talking about lol. Sanoman, the ski is an 87 650sx that i picked up off of a friend cheap. i want to strip the decals, buff it, make it look nice and then flip it for a little extra cash. I didnt consider a heat gun mostly because i dont have one and the eraser wheels are cheap. will a heat gun work better on older or newer decals?

I would definitely try a heat gun first, if you're not very careful with those erasers you can erase the paint pretty quick too. Heat guns are really cheap, blow dryer would even work.

Sorry to beat this to death guys. I used the eraser wheel and loved it. However it didn't remove the adhesive. I even tried running th eraser wheel over the same spot until I was sure it was about to burn through the paint. it didn't do anything. These decals had been baked in the sun since 1988. I decided to try isopropanol alcohol at first to remove the adhesive. that didn't work so I bought "pro strength" goof off. That was worthless. then I tried 100% acetone. That didn't even touch it but started removing some paint. Finally I talked to a place that makes decals and asked them what they would recommend. they said wd40 takes off any adhesive guaranteed...... well that didn't work either. in my frustration I just took a putty knife to it and scraped it all off. that worked but it took FOREVER! It looks good now but a friend wants to do the same thing to his ski. There has to be an easier way to get that crap off. Have any of you had similar experiences? What works when even acetone wont work??????

My home away from home.
On our old 650 I used a heat gun and most of it came off pretty clean. I've had newer hulls and graphics leave adhesive worse than old hulls. It's not easy at all, but I've done OK with dish soap, water and a poop ton of elbow grease.

I recently had a new sticker's adhesive not want to come off at all on my handle pole. Looks like dung now... I'll work on it more this winter. Too busy now and just want to ride.

PLEASE do not use klean strip on your ski!!! (Sorry Joker, don't mean to diss your advise) But you can really do some damage to the paint.91% rubbing alcohol will work,it will just take time.

I used lacquer thinner on my 08 superjet .. lol it was the only thing that worked getting the adhesive off. Id test somewhere on the bottom first though to make sure it doesnt eat the paint. I scrubbed with lacquer for a long time and there was no sign of the gelcoat getting damaged. Was the only thing that worked. I will mention it again TEST on a inconspicuous spot first..
