Racer killed at Havasu

Don 79 TA

Still Fat....
we were out there jetskiing when this went on
i remember watching them race, and was amazed at how fast the machines are
as we were riding she noticed no more racing, so we thought the events were over for the afternoon
we headed in, to meet up with everyone, and then heard of the bad news
i myself almost died a few years ago from a jetski accident, so we know how dangerous things can get in an instance (but this really applies to many forms in life)

so sad to hear of this considering someone traveled great depths to get here. Prayers out the family, very sad indeed.

RIP... and he was an experianced rider....I guess nobody knows his own time....

I was going to try to keep my mouth shut because I have a way of offending people w/not meaning to, but,

the bottom line is none of us know our appointed time to rejoin GOD. We start dying the day we are born. We are not promised an easy crossing. For those that die instantly in my opinion are blessed. (I watched my mother in law die a long, slow, miserable death for 6 months-cancer) and I would not wish that on anyone. I have visited the guys website and he obviously died doing something he loved and from what I gather-he died instantly. It does suck that he died at such a young age, but look at where he is now! My guess is he has the fastest ski, perfect weather, and perfect water conditions for eternity! Between here and PWCToday there have been hundreds of prayer promises-please do not turn this into a religious war-this is NOT the thread to do it in. This is simply Gil trying to act like a 39 year old for once. lol

I do feel really bad for anyone involved that is still in Havasu. I cannot imagine peoples thoughts right now. Just look up at the beutiful skies today and give the racer a big thumbs up-he died doing what he loved!

Amen man.

As posted over the weekend, the IJSBA and his fellow class racers awarded him the world championship, and the IJSBA is donating the classes entry fee's to the family. SCOTT FRAZIER (ijsba director) is a class act in my book.
