Would like to see that in person.. If so that is some bad ass rattle can stuff.

No chit, after I got my hull painted I was getting ready to put my stickers on. As u can see in the prev pic the stickers did not stick on the right side so I wiped the left side down w/acetone and then applied stickers. I really expected the rag to turn black with the paint-it did not. Granted I did not try to remove the paint, only lightly graze the paint with rag full of acetone.

I have a better idea...

Interlux Brightside paints... $34 shipped to my house from James Town Dist.

This was brushed on with a CHEAP turf' brush. Self leveled in most areas. Using a nicer brush would have been better, but I was in a hurry...

Held up great! Have since sold this hull, otherwise I would have changed the color every year for kicks.

along this route...has anybody ever used Awlgrip and brushed it on? I have a surfboat I don't feel like spraying, and think this might not be the worst idea ever (that is after sanding the ski down to be like a babys bottom lol)

did you just sanddown your old paint and spray or did you apply a rattlecan primer?

that is all i did, just sanded to a dull / smooth finish and brushed on... self leveling paint. works great, highly recommended. couple hours max into the whole process and no need to worry about over spray.

when using the Appliance Epoxy Spray, are you guys sanding the gelcoat off all they way to the bare hull, primer, then the Appliance Epoxy? 1 coat or 2? Any Clear?

More details would be le awesome

How bad does this run, when doing it on the sides, etc..?
Also, how many coats/layers did you have to apply, and did it hold up decent to chipping and exposing the paint underneath? Did you apply it all at once, or do a little and wait, etc..?
Sorry for the thousand questions. This brush on stuff is interesting. I had totally decided on the spray bomb appliance paint, but may go this way.

anything that protects from the sun is good, IMO. Cosmetics are for chicks and posers. Gotta A scratch? Get a decal to cover it.
My hood is done with Rustoleum cans.

Don't wanna "down" anyone for wanting their ski to look good. But if it comes down to making it look good vs. making it run good, I'll always go with the latter!

uhh...anybody reading this thread is probably not caring too much about looking good. if they did they'd get a $2500 blowsion paint job.
