Rear tow loop with trim

Hey what do you super jet guys do with trim. How do you use your rear tow loop you had to cut out. I'm normally the one getting towed but still mite come in handy one day.

Small high quality rope or 550 cord
tied around pump mount brackets? You can get fancy with the knot. Works trailering too.

Thats not to hard on the pump? I ride surf mainly so there are some good 8' waves that can pull your skis in different directions. But if you haven't had problems it's good enough for me

I have it on there really for emergency use as its better than nothing. I am sure a short tow would not damage it. Works for trailering totes too.

Ride in these conditions and havent had an issue with the rope . Just make sure it is not too slack that it gets caught up in the trim. Just enough to get a carabiner or snap clip under there.

Okay rock on. Not to excited to cut up my hull for trim but it's got to happen.

I hardly use mine in the surf. Thinking of deleting it. Less parts to wear out/leak fill tray.

Deleting your trim system. Want to sell it. I was going to order one in the next few weeks

are you sure you need to cut the rear that much? Why not just trim the bond line llip down and call it good?

Yes, no reason to cut your tray all up. Just trim the bond line over the nozzle, as needed once you get the trim on and see how much room is needs.

Doesn't the bow eye hang down to far?

Not if it's the right size, it shouldn't. Even if it did, why would you cut all that glass off that you then would have to seal just because the bow eye hung a little too low?
I'd recommend not jumping to conclusions until a conclusion is needed. Start with putting it all together. If you have to cut stuff, you can always do it later and still ride in the mean time, just with little or no trim pull.

I'm not just jumping to conclusions nor am I just going to hack up my ski with out a trim set up in hand. It was just a question because some people do cut there trays. This is my cats system a lot of Clarence was made.

All I would have done was cut the vertical bond line over the nozzle. But if you've already cut your hull all up, then too late for that. Some hulls mount the stainless u-bolt style bow loop on the transom...

Make sure you can get that much throw out of it with the cable and lever and pulley hooked up.
