Swapmeet, we are staying at The Riu Palace, and yes ...while balancing a garbage bag full of packs of cigarettes.... he is shouting that exact phrase (in a really low voice). By the end of the day today, a Jamaican with long dreads (looking exactly what you think he'd look like) was walking up and down the beach yelling, "Hey, Marajuana man is here! What do you need?"

OMG I'm dying... I still have that guys voice stuck in my head and its been like 3-4 years.

Ya'll have fun and be safe. Don't buy any of that shyt either, I heard they get paid by the police to turn you in, cause the police make crazy money when you bail out.

I just tell them no thanks, if they keep trying I just tell them "we have drug testing at work and what you're selling is not worth my job" then they back off. One of the jet ski guys was pretty cool and said, "If you can't ride your jet skis in the winter send them down here and I will rent them out for you!" What a great guy.

do all your scuba classwork and pool work in DFW - do the checkout dives in Cozumel. It's almost wasted to go there and just snorkel.

That'd be like going to the Daytona Freeride and getting in the water with a boogeyboard.

My old man went there, he loved it. He rented a kayak and a nice fishing setup super cheap, paddled out 60 yards off shore and was killing it, all kinds of fish, all day, like every time u drop ur line they bite kind of fishing. They also rented a jeep and said that was great. We both ride endurocross and he said there was dirtbike rentals and some cool trails he could see, (125s and easy trails im sure) he didnt do it but said it looked like a fun way to explore.

If we had more time before we leave I would. But we might make Cozumel our 'vacation spot' and do all ^^^ that next time before we go.

HAHA! I went to Negril last year, and I've got the same guys voice stuck in my head! "Cigarettes, Cigars, Cigars, It's gonna be HOT HOT HOT!"

The guy to talk to in Negril is Henry with the yellow boat, hangs around the Office of Nature. Cheap fishing, snorkeling, taxi rides around, ect...

I love every second on a hobiecat. I sold my 14ft last summer and can't wait to have to extra cash to buy a 16w trailer.

I picked up an 88 H16 last november. Started working on it this weekend. Sails were toast, picked up some 92 Nationals Sails few months ago. It has been over 18 years since I have been sailing. My Parents use to have a condo at the beach, I kick myself for not buying one then and keeping it there, but at the time Jetskis, Jetski's, Jetski's was all I thought about!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been around that island a few times on mopeds. I usually just take my snorkel gear and stop at a few places along the way. FYI, you can jump mopeds. Oh.....and if you crash them they will shake you down and try to rip you off so get the extra insurance and let er rip!

when are you leaving?

heck - you could probably do the whole thing down there, it'll cost more if you do...

you could do all classwork and pool sessions in as little as a weekend in DFW - if you had the time.
