a rickter with no engine shims? blasphemy! why didn't you use the stock ebox?
I needed my wiring redone cause some of it was starting to get tore up. The main thing was the wires going from my stator to my e box got so corroded they would literally just snap and break. I run in pretty much only salt water so John @ JSS build my box accordingly. Getting it put in the lexan box wasn't much more so I said hell with it and had him do it.
I also wanted to see if moisture gathered in the box, with a clear box this is possible, with others not so much. Most guys don't know if there are problems in there e-box until it stops working or they open it up. I don't want any surprises. We all hate problems and want maximum reliability, the only way this is possible with electrical parts is sending it to JSS.
He reconditioned my stator and gave me back my start stop switch and I didn't even recognize it... Truly amazing work!

Oh man, yes, the family van. That van and I have gone though a lot through out my life, lots of fun! A hull can only stay super pretty for so long, you just want to try to maximize that time.
I hit the start button and the ski fired right up. I was super stoked! I changed out my bendix with a "working used" use because I'd hit the start button and i'd just hear a spinning sound. The new one does that too, I don't know how often because I only tired once, hit spun hit start. Could it be the start not the bendix?

No a jetski starter is just a motor with a shaft connected to it and the bendix is what engages the flywheel. If it's spinning and not engaging then it's likely the bendix (as long as the starter is spinning the right direction)
Its getting some good cranks, doesn't sound like a starter issue. Chris I will let you know shortly
John said it would hold up and he knows exactly what I'm out there doing.

I have the same ebox in my RN and I mainly ride in the surf and have never had any issues. Been in for a year, Best box out there IMO

ebox is legit. got tested this morning w 4 motor mounts breaking and slamming around in the engine bay, the ebox is all good. :doh:

Kurts been at my house today. we got the EVO all fixed up. he was running an old bad batch of CF mounts. no serial # on them. we got him a fresh set of CF's and he's up and running. we had a evening ride today. came back and it was dark. super fun! kurt looks really good on the ski, he's so stoked, its cool.
