i just brought a Rickter FS-1 and its totally insane, ive only ridden sx-r and superjets no aftermarket hulls exept this one but i think its toatly insane . the way it turns and carvs the waves is awsome , just doesnt feel like anyhting else

I have three of the hulls
lenzi BF hull terrible hull to ride awsome BF
XFT cf hull rides ok but still not a free ride hull, also awsome
BF
FS1 will be done end of the week, from reviews it should ride better
and it is more of all around hull as well as a BF

we come back to the weight issue if you decide a CF hull
the cost is higher and it is very fragile ,if you land that hull
on the side if will crack for sure,on the other hand if it is fiberglass
it will take the beAting and for the 3000 dollar difference you can
build a bigger motor that will make the hull fly.

If I spent that 3000 on my build. I would have built 16mm billet
that won't complain about the extra10 or 20 Lbs

just my opinion

My fiberglass FS-1:

Hull: 100 lbs
Hood: 13 lbs
Total: 113 lbs

Advertised weight (actually more rumor'd after WF):
Fiberglass: 90 lbs w/ hood
Carbon: 70 lbs w/ hood

This is on a VERY accurate shipping scale we use daily here at the shop for about 200+ packages a day, calibrated regularly.

Cost around $7000 to my door. 23 lbs more then advertised/rumor'd. If I were to do it again, I would have NOT gone this route - much better bang-for-buck deals out there as far as weight-to-dollar ratio goes. Have some areas not holding up so well and some stuff that was definitely skimped on... I'll post pics at the end of the season of the weak spots. I can already hear water sloshing around INSIDE the tray.

Although, I will say the hull handles great, amazing pop for aerial tricks and VERY unique design.

Do it twice?That's DooDoo
thought the rickter had drainplugs... they use the white pellet kind of foam like the superjet nose foam is made of... at least they are supposed to I thought... so just install some plugs and drain the tray...

Does not come with any - some of the ones at WF's had them installed.

Point is, I should NOT have to be going and installing drain plugs on a $7000 hull.

I belive your hull is one of the first ones , I have seen the inside of
of your hull from the build pictures. It looks different from what I have.

I think it is better quality than other hulls I have built.

Like any new product it has to have flaws. You are buying Canadian product
that is made in Thailand, it takes time to fix things

I really like the look of the FS 1, the video's look like the FS 1 has so much lift. But if its broke already, it would never make a surf boat!

i was looking at the trinity matric on their website.. shame theres not more specs.. does it have the pole further forward like the EME Q8 or is is "stock" position

Look were the FS-1 is constructed. That should tell you enough.

I have still not heard of any Trinity parts or hulls with ANY problems what so ever!
There is a pretty cool write up in the new PWI magazine on the Matrix.

Steve-uk, why not just give Bobby a call? I can promise he will answer all your questions!

Rule #1 you buy a boat from Tiawan, dont expect it to last!!!!!! Common sence people.

Of straight ride time, probably more around 20ish. But yes, extremely low! All flatwater, no surf...

The newer ones might... no one has posted up anything. Looks like a OEM situation - heavily reinforce it...

Specs... Trinity posted the whole build/progress from start to finish, with very detailed information and pictures. How much more do you want then that? But yes, it would be cool to summarize it all and post it on his website instead of reading through the chitter/chatter.

There actually made in Thailand :poke: ha I didn't learn this until after the hull was on the way... but yes I will agree with you on most of this.

Yes, this is true. I do not know what kind of a rider you are, but I'd like to see how yours is holding up after some water time. I am no pro and hardly abuse my stuff like some of the crazy people here do! haha

Please share experience - no beating around the bush.

BUT, I spent the $7k and own one, so I'll give my 2 cents as much as I'd like.

Take it :Banane35: or leave it :17:

I ride Trinity composites matrix. I cant believe how strong it is for a light wieght hull...
I have thrown this thing around for a couple months now.
It is by far the best built hull i have riden.
75 lbs, 85 lbs with hood. all together 250. ok 256 with a little fuel.
I cant believe the stories i here from friends and other threw out the world.
How can you even spend 4-5 k on a hull that your gunna break apart.

WTF... thats insane. as far as hull design... makes a huge huge difference. there is a learning curve for riding a Matrix or Rickter.
they handle a little different just like going from kawy to yamy or Vs.
I truelly am miffed as to why people have top choices of skis that bust apart in a couple rides and for 7-8k....

I picked a US (trinity composites) builder, and got lucky, his work is the :):):):). I posted info in my build thread.

Only thing i had to do was get the right angle on the pump nozzle to get to handle perfect.. same with 08's or other hulls.

I could not ask for a better hull.. sorry had to chime in.

Glad you chimed in. You are the pro of the forum, your word means a lot more then most!

As to the comment above, I purchased before way any real world information... that and impulse buy and thought of having to have the most radical thing that moment. Been known to do that on occasion :buttkick:

Only thing I wish was different about the Matrix is the handlepole - wish it was moved all the way to the bow.
