Are the mounting plates grooved on the bottom or something? I'd look but am out of town.......

No, you can set your spacing. Leave some room between your couplers, you don't want them touching. When your doing your engine alignment make sure to do it without your coupler in.

You can see my MM where the bolt is facing up with a nut at the top. I just did a nut, washer (ontop of MM) then nylon lock nut.

SO FAR CHANGE SUCKS!!!!!!
I want to mannn! She's gettin a dasa 950 with a bpipe. 146 setback mag! All I know is I'm freaking stoked on it! Never had anything over a 771 so I will have some learning to do with it for sure. Phill is gonna help me build it so I know she is right!

950 wow, your going to sky that thing, thats a flat water BF motor in that Rickter! With that set up your Low and Mid will crank, and the Top wont matter as you wont be able to hold it that long :)
