If the flap is left on, there is no way for the water to get to the checkvalve to close the ball.I have the PD1900 (on left) new in stock. $110 plus shipping.
The instructions say to keep the original flap on the Rickter scupper.

Nick, I forgot to go out and get a pic last night. Will get one this afternoon when I get home. Can you share a pic of yours?
I bought the thrust one but have not installed and would opt out if there is an easier route.
What have you all done when running an OEM Tank in their Rickter to help keep the tank from shifting or twisting? I have the OEM Rubber stop to keep the tank from sliding back. I had a sheet of 9mm under pad up under the tank. The tank does not really sit in a cradle like the tank does on a SJ. Was looking at installing some 20mm foam blocks on the sides to kinda help wedge it. Just curious how others have done this.[/QUhttps://
This is what I used. In stock at Wal-Mart. https://www.walmart.com/ip/ProSourc...gh-Density-EVA-Yoga-Bricks-4-x-6-x-9/49967545
