Shout-out to the folks at RSKI Riders and there most excellent steering pad. Because I'm using the Blowsion OVP steering on my RRP poles the RRP AST protection pad would not fit it and thus no protection for my body against the steering. I happen to come across the steering pad that RSKI makes and I thought I'd give it a try. The RSKI pad is made of a material that is flexible but firm. It has the RSKI letters indented/stamped into the front of the pad so I thought I'd pretty it up by painting/highlighting the letter with white Plastic-dip (used the dip from a can and diluted it 50/50 so I could apply about 6 coats with a small brush). I had to raise the center bolt (rear) of the ninja chin pad up about 3/4 of an inch so it would clear the RSKI pad. I used a nylon space and got a bolt that was one inch longer to raise the ninja chin pad. Attaching the RSKI pad to the steering was simple given the zip ties used to fasten it. So I hope the pictures do the pad justice - this RSKI pad is awesome.

I have the simple RRP with no water inlets and it's a nice fit. Make sure you get the foam perch for it.

The best covers I've seen are those H20 Industries covers. They are trailerable and fleece lined. If I didn't live so close to the ocean I'd have one.
Hopefully someone here can help me out and save me some work. I completely spaced when assembling my hull to check spline engagement. Engagement on my SJ was good, I pressed the midshaft in an extra few mm to account for the Cold Fusion spacer on my bulkhead. Is it safe to think I will be fine with standard SJ midshaft depth going into an FS2?

Just need to check to see how much engagement you have. You may need to space your couplers also. I had to do this.
I just don't want to take it apart again, I do have midshaft spacers installed.

It took me a while to get mine right, I drove the midshaft forward, but did not like that I was out of spec on the shaft spacing to the housing, So, pushed back to spec, then started working spacing on the coupler side. Now I am thinking about pulling the motor and trying to move the motor forward some more.
I pushed mine in, assuming that bulkhead to pump shoe distance would be the same as a Superjet and trying to resolve the distance the midshaft spacer plate created. I might flip a coin on pulling the pump back out
Has anyone drilled a rear tow point into an FR2 hull? I am afraid to find the top and bottom decks are not bonded together in the back of the tray compromising my rear tray area but I don't particularly trust the thrust tow loops that bolt on the pump mount.

I feared the same. I've towed multiple times in surf and use the thrust eye. It's also where I attach to pull onto the cart. I check the bolt frequently and haven't had any issues.

I towed Ocho's Tigercraft from surf back to the ramp at Hugo. It held up and that was a long rough tow.

does anyone have a pic of where you connect a hook onto a pump mount? i have an edge and really have no way if i have to help a buddy out as i only have an eye on the front of the ski.... been wondering what guys do where there is no eye on the back.
