Custom/Hybrid rickter XFS / DASA build

pic from the weekend, still havent completed the flat water backflip yet, keep nose stabling it. there is more than enough power and height, just missing the skill. the boat is holding up great have atleast 30+ failed attempts and there is no damage.

This is by far the best ski in this area, by far. There are some nice skis going together right now, but this ski rides well and the power delivery is perfect! Great build

First off I would like to say thank you so much for letting me ride this ski. This is the second time I rode an XFS, rode Taylors for a short while in Daytona, thoroughly enjoy this hull.

This ski was an absolute blast to ride! I haven't checked my hour meter lately but I would say that I have about 10 hours on my DASA 950. I love my motor and the power it produces but this 1000 feels completely different. I would say the carbs have a little to do with it but the fact that I am still running a b-pipe I would imagine is the big difference. We're both running stock electronics with lightened flywheels and enhancers. My hull may be a couple pounds lighter if any but the length of the hull is another factor, I'm only -2.5. My 950 is very comparable on the very low end snap but as soon as you get on it mine just stops pulling in comparison to this 1000. I would imagine that you could prop down a little and easily be right there with me, I have a c75 12/17 in a stock pump for now, saving the mag for my freak. This is a pure flatwater motor that would be near impossible to ride in the surf, especially in this hull.

As far as a ride report for the hull, I was impressed with how easily I could ride it. At slow speeds it plows with the nose very high. Once you ease into the gas it plains off much easier than I had anticipated. As soon as you snap the throttle the nose immediately comes up, but riding around is possible. I am 6'1" and weigh 190, my weight was not a problem riding but for someone my height I would probably play around with the pole length. I would say I rode for approximately 20 minutes and my back was starting to feel it a little, adrenaline might of been subsiding any other pains. Overall I was very impressed with how well the hull rode. Conditions were flat but with a lot of chop, not ideal but a good test for the hull. I would highly recommend this hull to someone looking for a fun flatwater ski. If you want to use it in the surf then you better put a smaller motor in it or be very accustom to the power.

Thank you again for letting me beat on the ski for a little while. This ski is absolutely beautiful and put together very well. Next year we'll have to swap skis again and see what happens!

glad you liked it eric. i think the big difference in our setups is the power factor pipe, these pipes just wake the motor up.
