I have the Saiga 12. Have had a ton of problems with it and learned way more then I have ever wanted to know about AKs. But other then that it has been a lot of fun and weird looks at the trap range.

The guy that does my linen at the store has one. Its friggin sweet. Very reliable, and the gas systen auto adjusts to whatever shells you are shooting. I was tagging bullseyes with slugs at 50 yards no problem with it.

Surprisingly it is pretty dang accurate with slugs. Aiming about 8ft or so above the target I nailed an old road sign at 312 yards. Funny thing was the slug only left a dent in the sign and I found the slug half smashed in front of it. lol (Disclaimer: I found the Road sign at the dump and brought it as a target)

I'm looking to get a 22 for plinking with the kids and as a light weight/small easy to haul small game rifle.

I'm seriously considering the Ruger 11125 (http://www.ruger.com/products/1022DE/specSheets/11125.html). I like how it is a takedown with the lightweight synthetic stock and SS barrel. I also like the fact that it has the threaded barrel, so putting my can on it would be simple. The soft case that it comes with is real nice and has room for a scope.

Anybody have any use with this gun that can provide any input?

I almost picked one up just to put in my bug out bag but didn't like the feel of it for the money. To me, the takedown is a compromise that devalues the gun whereas Ruger believes that it's a feature that adds value. I'd love it in the $200 range but there's no way I'm paying $350.

I have to admit though, it can be a pretty sweet little gun though...especially in black laminate.

Hey guys, we have a new gun section so you can post up all you want about guns builds, rifles, pistols, and accessorizing. We cannot host the sale of anything gun related (be it accesories, parts, whole guns, even scopes) due to the rules laid out by Google Adsense.
