So sorry to hear this and it really hits home for me too, my best friend in the entire world whose served 4 tours now at only 26 y.o and struggling with PTSD ... All of our men and women in the armed forces are forever in our debt and I truly believe more needs to be done to repay them for all they have done and sacrificed for us to be able screw off and complain about our meaningless problems while going about out simple easy daily lives ... And I am definitely one of those people who takes advantage of how simple our lives are compared to our hero's ... God speed to the hero, Jesse, and my prayers and condolences to his family and friends... We should all, including myself, try harder to be better people... In honor of your friend , and a hero to us all, who has moved on to another more beautiful place

Never meet him but I remember posts he made when he left for boot camp. I could tell he was a good guy and was going to be a great Marine. RIP...

Just learned of this tragedy thru ProRider mag as I haven't been on the X too much. Was an honor meeting Jesse @ Lanier Ride and past Daytona events. Great genuine kid with a good heart. Godspeed.

Still Fat....
since we've been out of this sport for a little while, we just heard about this from Paul.
I only know of Jesse from the one time meeting him (As well as others) at the 06 Nashville event, which to this day i still remember like yesterday
so sad indeed. seemed like a really nice fella too.

just seems we can help the $combags in our society, yet we seem to ignore vets and let them slip through
trust me... we know it all to well, we help support my grandfather who is an accomplished veteran and noted as the oldest active VFW member, yet $combags get more

The day after his funeral, We had breakfast with Morgan at WaffleHouse, Jesse loved wafflehouse!. We spent the day at his parents.. When we left that night, I stopped by the river where he skied and said my own personal good bye....... We crossed the river, hit up Wendy's (got to eat), then as we are are heading out of town, there are like 3 towns you go through leaving florence heading south. I look up and there is a huge shooting start going across the ski in the direction we are traveling. I took that as Jesse saying "I am ok, and will lead you home".... His mom has had a few things happen, like looking at his picture on the mantle and it just fell over........
He is still with us.

I read a great article on the surfing foundation Amazing Surf Adventures in So. Cal. If you know someone going through PTSD it might be worth getting them out there. I am sure jetsking with friends will also help.

“In combat,” one L.A.-area vet named Louis Scott explained to me, “you look to your left and you look to your right, and you’re always worried about your brother. In the surf, you look to your left and you look to your right,” he said, “and you’re out there with your brothers. And yet you’re havin’ fun.”

Well, Another Marine Reported to the Pearly Gates the other day. Brian Felber and Jesse were close friends, Joined the Marines together. Jesse posted here about Brian stepping on and IED a few years ago, he was a double amputee. I do not know any details, but I presume this was not an accident or illness. I knew of some of his problems, same as what Jesse had. Plus a Piece of poop wife that had left him (Talking about Brian) and took everything, led him down the same path..........
PTSD strikes again.............................

Sad to hear. A few Marines I served with went down the same path, and took their own lives. Sucks when there are so many options for help. Either way....

Did get a little info from Morgan (Jesse's Wife), Brian died in his sleep, they think heart attack, but did not do autopsy. Guess we will never know. But, I have my suspicions. Either way, We lost another Soldier to this senseless wars we are having to fight.
