Riva red pipe bracket help

I just ordered the jets , did some research and looks like a 145 main 120 pilot and a 95 gram spring should do the trick for my setup. The ski was stock last season

Looks awesome. I've read numerous thread on using grease on the orings vs 1211 and "1211 or yamabond where the domes meet the headshell to prevent vibration movement wear" from this page. http://www.x-h2o.com/index.php?thre...-sealant-on-o-rings-and-other-gaskets.110665/ Which way did you go? Just wondering. looks like majority just use grease.. Nice finished bracket. My mechanic friend is modifying mine at his work. Interested to see what he'll come up with..

When you filed the nubs off the bottom did you have any alignment issues with the pipe? My pipe seems a little high now, the bolts won't line up.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1453845785.905356.jpg

I barely had to shim mine, I bolted up the manifold to the head then the manifold to the pipe and then bolt the modified stock bracket to the pipe and shim it to the Ada bracket

That's what I thought, those nubs on the bottom were probably the right height but it wouldn't sit right. What a pain. Your motor looks great. Debating whether to paint my pipe red again but it peeled last time from the heat so I might keep it raw.

Do you have a close-up of the shimmed area. Did you use a couple stainless steel washers. Just wondering cause I'm putting mine together this weekend most likely.

When I removed the nubs, we measured everything to make sure it would be completely flat and lever as the mill passed over it. Mine sits flush and lined up perfectly with the pipe. It never sat on those nubs on the stock head. The posts went between them to the bolt holes.

Got mine back together. Decided to paint the pipe. See if it holds up. Thanks for the pics showing how you made the bracket, definitely helped

Looks awesome. I like he red bracket too. Still waiting for my stuff to come back from my mechanic. He is putting the pipe through some cleaner machine at lexus( I have no idea what that is). And carving out a piece of my brackett..

Thanks, the bracket looked a little rough after all the grinding so I figured I'd paint that too. Hopefully I'll get all my 701 industries stuff soon to be ready for wavedaze.
