wow $650???? I would see how much it would be to fly into LAX or Burbank... probably cheaper... you'll probably need to rent a car anyways... just a little longer drive. Bakersfield to Pismo 2.5 hours... LAX to pismo 3.5-4 hours. All in no traffic.

Enzo lives in Bakersfield. He'll chim in a bit and let us know how long the drive is exactly.

It is a 2 hour drive for me. Driving from the the airport would probably add 15-20 minutes. Seems like you could find somewhere closer to fly into. What about San Luis?

Oxnard Airport is a 1 hour 45 min drive from Pismo also. Straight shot up the 101 freeway. Nice drive, and Oxnard Airport has multiple flights to and from LAX everyday.

ok.. why i said Ontario is.. by the time you go through a lay over (1-2 hours ?) and land from the smaller airports you could be having lunch or checking out something cool and be almost there ! LAX is always in the traffic and Ontario is only 3 hours away with hardly ever traffic ! I really dont think flying into a closer airport will save any time at all !
