air down everything if you plan on driving on soft/dry sand. the beach has damp sand that gets packed SUPER hard so you can drive on the hardpack no problem. a really high tide can bring problems though (6'+ ). i take my rv every weekend to pismo and i get stuck EVERY time. never fails. i got a system to where i can get out easily but it takes a tow from the tacoma regardless. so bring a tow strap! i have plywood boards (2x6')that i can use to drive on the sand if i need to. its a pita to do but just in case. fyi theres a professional tow out there and his MINIMUM tow costs 150$!! bring shovels!
youll also want to bring plywood to block the wind. the onshore winds can move crazy amounts of sand. park parallel and block the entire side so no wind/sand can go underneath. ive seen vehicles dug into holes after a really windy day.

yes you should bring your ski, youll be cold but youll survive. you dont NEED footholds or nothing. i learned to stab with no straps or footholds. prepare to get slammed. bilge pump, tow loop, hood straps, limiting rope are what you SHOULD have when riding in the ocean.
and tow strap. i have an old wetsuit with a hole in the butt I'll give you for free.

yea im bringing a few folks with me..or they are gonna meet me saturday..

I'm 6' and 160 lbs so I think a Large would fit. I have driven quite a bit on sand launching boats etc when when we go abb diving but they don't weigh that much. I have a small compressor that I can bring to air by tires back up once I'm off the beach. I just called a buddy of mine and he has a good tow strap so I'm going to pick that up. I would hate to have to pay 150 bucks for a tow but I'm sure some other 4x4 would be able to give me tug out there if I did get stuck. Ill make sure to bring a bunch of 1/4" ply to stack up against the side of my camper so the sand does not fill me in. This is going to be a freaking blast! My buddy with the motor home will be bringing some quads and his 250F so we can play on those as well.

Infamy, I'm from Lodi just south of Sac. We should have the same Alcohol and girls! This is as long as everyone stays committed and does not back out.

im leaving sac at 2:00 on thursday. ill probly have room. ill know for sure by this weekend.

gunrgood or torquen , will either of you have room to haul another ski down there? my friend might need to have someone else take his ski since he is doing work on his truck. my truck is full or else i would take it.

Infamy, I'm not really sure if I will have enough room for an extra ski in the back of my truck. We are going to be loaded pretty heavy as of right now. But I would be more than happy to if I end up with the room.

What does everyone do about flushing their skis after ridding? Do you run them up the road to a gas station and use their water? Don't really want to leave salt water in my engine for 2 days.
