Other RRP Pole vs ATP Pole Pics

I've been looking at the RRP Pole and the ATP Pole lately, I like the tube pole look. ATP products have have always been top notch from my experience and Steve-UK is a great distributer of their stuff here in NA. I have never dealt with RRP so I cannot speak about them.

Anyway, I'd like to get some pics of the poles thrown together into one thread for people who don't know which route they want to go. So if you have a picture of your RRP pole throw it in (I know you can find them all over but I want to get them in a thread with ATP Poles), and if you have an ATP pole throw up a pic of it on your ski.

There is a serious lack of ATP pole pics on here so guys who have the ATP pole make sure to try and get a picture of it in here.
 
Good thread. I've been looking at a/m poles as well, although my stock SJ is a bomb :) after I cut it super short, and it keeps the ski up, not like all a/m metal poles that pull the ski down.
What about MAX (i think its called) pole? the guy who makes them in Asia. It allows a lot of adjustments. Motoman96 has one for sale, he might give an opinion.

Here's mine. Sorry my phone doesn't take very good photos but you get the idea.

I have never been around a ATP pole, but i cant see how it could be any better then the RRP pole(maybe lighter?). I am currently running the OEM steering system, but the upper end comes pre-drilled to accept a/m steering systems.

I have used and sell both...

If we compare the billet RRP and the billet ATP.

The ATP is a much more simple design (ie less going on), and is by all counts lighter. I run/ran the ATP billet on my own personal Footrocket without a pole spring (and I love a super light pole) and found it to be comparable to a RRP pole with a spring fitted and the bolt tightened a little to make the pole stop where you let it go (a gentle hand will make it move though).

The ATP has a bend in the pole tubes, rather than the angled plate on the top section like the RRP.

Both poles can be used with a oem sping/perch combo to give the perfect weight.

Both poles accept common 4-bolt steering systems.

Which one is better? Well that depends on what you like the look of best, and I guess the ATP is lighter. I've never had a problem with either of them, as I like to make sure my own ski's as well as my customers take the necessary precautions to protect the pole (limiting ropes, chock pads, chinpad supports etc...) So, I guess pics of the poles fitted will probably be the best way to make up your mind. In my experience, both poles allowed me to ride my ski, turn it, and not break, whilst looking gangster...

I had the RRP Light version, here for some testing on a freak, its under 9LBS with the chin pad and tubes (tubes are light too) finishing is amazing a high quality design.

ATP billet pole weighs 4.5kg/9lbs 9oz

it will accept all the normal steerings, ATP, RRP, CF, UMI, X-METAL, Stock

its the only pole with the top peice being a single billet part, rather than a number of parts boltes together, poles have the bend in them rather than the top section

at the end of the day it comes down to personal preference, i have owned both RRP and ATP Poles, i prefer the look of the ATP Pole, thats my personal preference
