SXR RRP Pole

Hey Guys
just bought a RRP pole from blowsion with billet ends. The bushings are press in... so i pressed them in to find that they don't fit in the bracket, the billet pole end and the bushings together are about a 1/8" to wide to fit the bracket. oh should tell you I'm using the stock bracket.
Anyone else run into this problem any tips/help

Thanks

Sand the bushings down so they will fit into the bracket. I have a billet rrp pole with the rrp lowered bracket and had to do this myself.. Just give yourself a pat on the back for buying the billet pole, cause you wont have to :):):):) with a spring and all that, just crank the pivot bolt down super tight.

I usually just grab the ears of the handle pole bracket, and pull them away from each other to get it to flex enough to get it on the handle pole.

Alright cool ill give it another try tomorrow and see how it goes.

Now what are ppl's thoughts on the stock brackets Vs the dual breather RRP ones?
Just wondering if its worth the $300?

Yes, sand them and check them, sand them and check them, to make sure you don't take too much off at a time. Make sure your sanding media is a good flat surface to avoid rounding off the bushings.

I heard RRP poles ordered from Optima are easier to install :sneaky: Not really, but RRP's are awesome!

Sanding the bushings is an easy process i just took a regular ryobi handheld sander and ground each side in intervals, checking fitment with the lowered bracket frequently. I found it easier to sand them down pressed into the pole but be careful not to let the sander get away from you or you will scratch your pole

Alright guys i ended up taking the bearings out and then sanded them with a belt sander and measured them so they were the same then fitting it with it all together over and over again till it just barely squeezed in.

So i got it Thanks everyone for your help pole looks great

ONE MORE QUESTION
Does anyone actually use the safety rod?
Thing looks kinda ugly!
