Could I still order a non trim version? I was looking forward to trying one out to replace my tired old nozzle. I don’t know of a company that would be considered at fault after a customer modified or butchered the part.

Also what about a slip on ratchet cover for the stainless hood ratchet a lot of people run? It would be nice to have a good way to cover it up and not worry about getting cut on it. Make it slip on the handle like a regular ratchet cover, but have a flap extend up and curve over the top. Make it out of the flexible filament you make the steering pads out of. That way it can be flexed back to insert the straps and ratchet it down.

I would have to agree.
Why would you stop making a product just because one customer modified it for an application it wasn't designed for?
In addition who cares what he said on FaceBook, 99.9% of everything on FaceBook is crap or untrue and everyone knows it.

Geez, sorry to hear this...I agree with the above though, one negative situation of a product used for not its intended purpose shouldn’t scare you off of continuing to produce them. I’m in business for myself and yes sometime things go sideways, but there are Plenty of ways to handle an upset customer without eliminating a product line or halting a service, seems odd to me this is the way you would go if they tested out fine in the application they were designed for.

It is a $60 part not sure how upset someone could get for modifying it and than it failing, have spent a lot more than that on parts that failed it didn’t work right out of the box.

I did end up buying one and it’s still on the way, and look forward to trying it, but was hoping to get another.

I say bring them back or at least the non trim version, you had a good thing going and I bet the majority of the community here would support you. For 60$ it was a no brainer and great replacement for a stock nozzle.

I dont have any background on the issue but know it is common to modify a 62T nozzle to fit a trim system and quick steering. I was seriously considering ordering one of these but have been waiting on some feedback. They look really nice but I was concerned they might not hold up for my application. I know you would have to modify a 62t nozzle to fit the x-Scream trim system by opening up the steering channel. Once you get all of this figured out I am still interested in purchasing one.

I have the thrust ez-pull and ended up sanding down and polishing the trim ring to get mine to fit. Needed to do that anyway to fit the oem 62t nozzle.

It's great to have support from all of you guys, I also don't want this thread to turn negative as well (towards anyone). We will try and work towards bringing the nozzle back, but for now we're working on vinyl graphics projects and remembering to enjoy life. RSKI is a hobby to bring new ideas to you guys and get people stoked. :) RSKI was feeling like a full time job there for a while, and it was so much work! Awesome, but still a ton of work!

Worked great! Deff need some more ride time on it to get used to it. Bob already rides nose high. Going to try it on the Reaper next.

I hear you guys on making parts. I was wondering if the nossle would hold up to the load froma 3d printed part but it would seem it did other than when you modded it.
You must have a heap better 3d printer than I have.
The issue i guess is that while it could handle it, when they modified it they broke through the outer layer and this is where it all went wrong. I would be interested in seeing the cost to machine one from billet but i think it would be very high due to the block you had to tear up.

We used Prusa MK3S (buy here).

As far as the material I just start with a PLA it's the easiest to print too. Geometry is more important that material selection sometimes, so make it out of the cheap stuff first, and upgrade material if it's failing you. PETG is also pretty easy to print and is a little more flexible, also great for a fender.
