Will this fit on a raider trim ring? Or is there an older oem ring or part that can be ordered?

its like the buzzard said, certain year gp's and certain year raiders had the extra flange on the trim ring. but if you have a regular raider trim ring, then no it won't work.

http://www.capitolcycle.com/fiche_section_detail.asp go to watercraft, yamaha 1999 gp800. its number 43 on the diagram. I THINK that's it.

gee, thanks joe! i think.......... just know this, i'm only going to be dead a few years ahead of the rest of you, so whats the difference? i'm just like carbs, everybody knows the 49s are best. i'll be buying a set of maxx 50s in a couple months and hoping they perform at least as good as the 49s...............

The Snake may strike, but it will get stepped on if it does and it will be a six month step next time. FYI.

Back to trim talk.

Brian did a great job designing the new trim. Every time we test and do R&D he's a step above me just when I think I learned some thing new he's already figured out. I have to say I'm pretty darn happy with the new trim and glad I'm not messing with the flow guard. Don't get me wrong the fg works but it makes taking the pump apart and testing new nozzles a pia.

all trims are very inefficient and allow water pressure to escape thru the cracks. if you want max thrust, you cant have leaks. i havent had the new thrust pro trim yet, but it appears to be the best solution so far. every grunion of thrust is a step in the right direction.

Tried the search function and pretty much only found the gut who made his flow guard out of a flower pot.

Im pretty sure the rubber flappy flow guard that people are putting on their exit nozzles are made from a B pipe coupler, but I wanted to make sure before I bought the material from McMaster Carr.

As every one said X metal is using a B pipe coupler
If you do this mod be sure to use vaseline to lubricate where it meets the steering nozzle because they will stiffen the steering with out it.

"since this is a jetski forum, it would seem only fitting to have something jetski related as your avatar. not some picture of your dog, mother in law, bicycle, child, you and your girlfriend, favorite chicken or some other unrelated item. if you aint got a pic of your ski in some cattywampus position in mid air, at least have a pic of the roach being used as a chinese laundry in your garage. do you even have a ski? pic or it didnt happen!"

What happened to you over your ban?

The buzzard strikes back. this is like the chan threads they never stay on track EVER!!! but at least they make you laugh enough that you dont care. who started that thread, how to cook a buzzard..... what is the deal with your ban? or can we get back to trim? blowsion trim on the mind....

it expired but its up for renewal. and that was smokin bill as the buzzard gormet. i have a couple blowsion trims and i think they are the worst of them all for wasting pressure. the gaps are huge between all the rings and nozzles. mine had been ground on, which made a hillbilly flow guard impossible to clamp in there. not to be used on something you are trying to get every grunion of thrust out of. i hate to be the bearer of bad news guys, but if you dont have big power, you're just spinning your wheels or prop in this case.
the buzzard strikes back? is that like a star wars joke?

Don't Remember saying that?

i have the blowsion trim setup on my square i bought it with. its almost IMPOSSIBLE to pull under pressure making it to hard to use casually. they have the new EZ system for it but its a few hundred more for everything, and idk if itl help. worth selling and buying X-metal or something else instead???

ive seen some other systems and they seem to pull alot easier under just tapping throttle and not full release and some with EZ system i am told help this, its even stiff not under throttle. my question is the change to another system worth it?? blowsions dont seem to popular and you lose a ton of pressure
