Rv batteries

It's time to replace the batteries in my toy hauler, and was wondering what people think is the best option (besides lithium)? We camp for about a week without power two to three times a year, and usually do three day weekends every couple weeks. I don't want lithium, not only the price but all the conversion to me doesn't seem worth it. I have an on board generator, but don't like running it to just charge batteries. I have read about the 6v golf cart battery conversions, they seem like they have the most Amp hours. Are full agm 6v batteries worth the extra $150 each? Or is a regular agm 12v battery worth it? Or should I go with lead acid 12v and plan to replace them every 2-3 years as the cheapest option? Any opinions/ ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Your in my world. I have sold motorhomes for the last 22 years. For most people AGM golf cart style batteries are your best option. They are starting to get cheaper as well.
certainly lead acid will do the job just fine. I just like the fact that AGM are going to get you a little longer life. They also don’t outgas and corrode everything while charging like lead acid. And also being maintenance free is a huge plus.

Lithium Ion def are not plug n play or worth it for most people.

That's the way I've been leaning since we bought the thing new. I tried getting the dealer to do it, but they said they couldn't, but have seen lots of them converted. Two years almost to the day, and my batteries last me almost a day now... Thanks for the reply.

Lithium is more expensive upfront, but for the full life of the battery it is cheaper than going with AGM. I would also put a couple solar panels on the roof.

I priced Battleborns setup with a xantrex inverter to run the 120v side on battery and the charger to convert over and $4k is just not worth it to me... solar panels are in the works, I have the mounts designed, just need the time to build it all.

I use two of the Trojan 6V flooded batteries in my attitude toy hauler. The last set finally craped out after 12 years. They are awesome and have a lot of reserve power.

Yea would definitely recommend a solar system too. They are pretty cheap to put together these days. I just rigged up a system on my shed for lights and to run a few smaller tools, and I think I was only into it for like $270 (Solar Panel, Charge Controller, Inverter, 2 4ft LED Lights, random wiring) plus battery which I already had. Im loving having some power in my shed!

Trojan 6V X2 .....lasted me forever....
Solar system
also dont know how old your hauler is but replacing all bulbs to led , takes away the heat and helped a bunch with seeing more and less power use
